Prayer reading

  1. Welcome to Christian Forums, a forum to discuss Christianity in a friendly surrounding.

Your voice is missing! You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

  2. I just wanted to share something my fiance’ came up with. She is a jewelry designer and has a shop with her daughter. They asked if I had an outlet for some of their items and I told them I would share it with everyone here at CF. So I started them an Etsy Shop account to showcase what they have done. And this is the first items! Check it out and let me know what you think!

    Thanks so much! – Rex

Bless this marriage, O God, as ________ and ________ begin their journey down the road of life together. We don’t know what lies ahead for the road turns and bends. But help them to make the best of whatever comes their way.

Help them to hug each other often…laugh a lot, talk more, and argue less.

Help them to continue to enjoy each other as they did when they first met.

Help them to realize that nothing nor no one is perfect and to look for the good in all things and all people including themselves.

Help them to respect each other’s likes and dislikes, opinion and beliefs, hopes and dreams and fears even though they may not always understand them.

Help them to learn from each other and to help each other to grow mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Help them to realize that there is design and purpose in their lives as in the world and no matter what happens to them they will hold on to each other and know that things have a way of working out for the good.

Help them to create for their children a peaceful, stable home of love as a foundation on which they can build their lives.

But most of all, dear God, help them to keep lit the torch of love’ that they now share in their hears so that by their loving example they may pass on the light of love to their children and to their children’s children forever. Amen

DAILY READING

As a church we have chosen to read the Life Journal together.  This Bible reading plan takes us through the entire Bible in one year.  Each daily reading takes about twenty minutes and we encourage you to join us as we read through the Life Journal together!

One of the methods that we use during our daily reading time is called S.O.A.P.

  • S = Scripture
    • Open your Bible to the reading found under today’s date.  Take time reading and allow God to speak to you.  When you are done, look for a verse that particularly spoke to you that day, and write it in your journal.
  • O = Observation
    • What do you think God is saying to you in this scripture?  Paraphrase and  write this Scripture down in your own words in your journal.
  • A = Application
    • Personalize what you have read, by asking yourself how it applies to your life right now.
  • P = Prayer
    • This can be as simple as asking God to help you use this Scripture, or it may be a greater insight on what He may be revealing to you.  Remember, prayer is a two-way conversation, so be sure to listen to what God has to say!
