Prayer against pride

PRAYER AGAINST THE SPIRIT OF PRIDE

“FATHER, FORGIVE ME FOR THE SINS I COMMITTED THAT OPENED THE DOORS TO THESE SPIRITS OF HAUTINESS & PRIDE. I KNOW YOU HAVE FORGIVEN ME & THEREFORE I LAUNCH OUT IN CONFIDENCE.

IN JESUS NAME, I BIND AND CAST OUT THE SPIRITS OF PRIDE, LEVIATHAN, HAUGHTINESS, ARROGANCE,  IDLENESS, STRIFE, SCORNFULNESS, CONTENTIOUS SPIRITS, REJECTION OF GOD, SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS, SELF-CENTERDNESS, SELF-DEJECTION, VAIN GLORY, ARROGRANCE, SUPERIOTITISM, PERFECTIONISM, AND VANITY!

I TAKE AUTHORITY OVER THEM IN JESUS NAME AND COMMAND THEM TO LEAVE THIS MINUTE! GO IN THE NAME OF JESUS!

O Lord, break the heads of the dragons (Psalm 74:13).

Cut off the head of every hydra in my life in the name of Jesus.

Break the heads of leviathan in pieces (Psalm 74:14).

Punish leviathan, the piercing serpent, even leviathan the crooked serpent, with Your sore, great, and strong sword (Isaiah 27:1).

I break all curses of pride and leviathan from my life in the name of Jesus.

Let not the foot of pride come against me (Psalm 36:11).

Break the crown of pride (Isaiah 28:1).

Break the power of pride, break it,

Bring down the proud demons that have exalted themselves against Your people.

I PUT THE BLOOD OF JESUS AT THE ROOT AT WHICH THEY CAME IN! I CLOSE THOSE DOORS, I SEAL THEM WITH THE BLOOD OF JESUS, SEND THEM TO JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH FOR JUDGEMENT AND FORBID THEM TO COME BACK OR TO TOUCH ANYONE ELSE ON THE WAY! GO! NOW! I DEMAND THE JUDGEMENT OF OD UPON THE POWERS OF PRIDE AND HASTINESS AND I COMMAND THEM TO FLEE IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

I LOOSE: A HUMBLE AND CONTRITE HEART SUBMITTED TO JEHOVAH GOD! I COMPLETELY SURRENDER TO HIS WILL! I SET JESUS CHRIST ON THE THRONE OF MY HEART IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

Mike, I truly think this is a powerful prayer, . one that I would be proud to pray myself. Thank you for giving it to us. (Report) Reply

I too was taught that one should render everything back to its source.

I like the idea of prayers on PH. The old ones are finely written, OK, but there’s one hell of a scope for new ones..

Someone once taught that the way to get power is to give it away. That’s why your word, ‘surrender, ‘ is so important in this prayer.

And ‘surrender’ differs from ‘giving up’ or ‘giving in’. There is strength in this kind. Thanks for this, Mike. (Report) Reply

Pride is the great canopy for a galaxy of sins.

Today I am reminded once again of my pride because of the power of Your Word and the work of the Holy Spirit in my life. I can truly say with David, “My sin is ever before me” (Psalm 51:3).

My pride calls, wants, needs, and forefends every whimper of my flesh. Lord, my fear of praying about my pride is that I cannot possibly see it in all of its ghastly horror as You see it. Confessing it is even harder because my blindness to its subtleties only allows a miniscule portion to be confessed. I hate it! I hate it! I hate it! For as I grow in my walk with You, I see it is the seedbed of everything ungodly.

Although in this life, I may never eradicate the pride of my flesh, may You say of me as you did Hezekiah, “However, Hezekiah humbled the pride of his heart” (2 Chronicles 32:26).

Thank You for increasing my walk and reverence for You so that I may hate my pride. “The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way, And the perverted mouth, I hate” (Proverbs 8:13).

I do believe with all of my heart that “A man’s pride will bring him low, But a humble spirit will obtain honor” (Proverbs 29:23).

Oh my Lord, how You can love me is beyond my understanding, but I thank You that You do, and that I know it.
