Please pray for my sister and my 1 1/2 yr old niece who are embarking on a 1200 mile trip across the US. My sister has continually been manipulated by her ex, the baby’s father. He has been in and out of prison and is a convicted sexual predator. He has threatened to kill her in the past just because she has demanded that he pay child support.
Now all of a sudden he wants her back and has brainwashed her. I pray for God to help her see the reality of things and protect her from this man who has done nothing but evil things..I pray that God comes into his heart and help him change.. I am so worried about them…God is Great and with him nothing is impossible!!
“The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” James 5:16b (NIV)
Allan was a tough man.
Raised by a single mom with five siblings, he learned to scrap his way through life by sheer determination and grit. He married at 19, had his first son at 20, then a baby girl at 25. Over the next two decades, he advanced from driving a lumberyard delivery truck to becoming part owner of a building supply company.
Allan drank heavily, fought with his wife verbally and physically and terrorized his children emotionally. He gambled, dabbled in pornography and had questionable relationships laced with a host of unsavory vices. But when his teenage daughter gave her life to Jesus and began praying for her family, God grabbed the chisel of grace and began chipping away at Allan’s proud heart of stone.
One day he told her, “I’ll go to church with you from time to time, but I could never become a Christian. I’ve done too many horrible things in my life. God could never forgive me. I could never be good enough.”
His daughter explained no one could ever be “good enough.” If we could, then Jesus wouldn’t have needed to die on the cross to pay for our sins. But Allan couldn’t wrap his mind around that kind of grace.
When Allan was 46 years old, his life took several troublesome turns. After a business deal went terribly wrong, he faced an ugly lawsuit.
Allan teetered on the brink of a nervous breakdown. From his perspective, he was on the verge of losing it all. From God’s perspective, Allan was right where he needed to be.
One day, in a panic, Allan drove from North Carolina to Pennsylvania, attempting to find his wife at a meeting she was attending. When he couldn’t find her, he stopped by a church and asked for prayer. The church receptionist drew Allan a map and sent him to find a pastor who was out in the woods building his new church.
Allan followed the scrap-paper map and found a man with a hammer in his hand and Jesus in his heart. He told the pastor everything he’d ever done in his raucous life. Then the man put his arm around Allan and said, “Now, let me tell you what I’ve done.”
The way Allan later explained what happened was this: “That man had done everything I had done. I knew if God could forgive him and he could be a pastor, then He could forgive me, too.”
Allan accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior that day in the woods of Pennsylvania and became one of the sweetest men I’ve ever known. Allan was my dad.
From my earliest years as a Christian, I experienced the power of prayer to change a man’s life — to strengthen a man’s resolve, protect his heart and grow his faith.
Today’s key verse reminds us of just that: “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective” (James 5:16b). My firsthand encounter with God’s faithfulness to hear our pleas for the men in our lives began with my father and continues with my husband and son.
If you’re married, you have the power to open the floodgates of heaven through your prayers on behalf of your spouse. Whether your husband doesn’t know Jesus yet, has a fledgling faith or lives a fiery, firm faith, there’s no one more qualified to pray for his relationship with Christ than you. No matter where your mate is on the continuum of faithlessness to faithfulness, you can pray with faith — “the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1b, NASB).
Today, let’s pray for husbands. If you’re single, then use this guide to pray for the important men in your life.
Dear Lord, I pray for ________________.
His Shoulders — No matter what my husband goes through today, assure him that nothing is too hard for You. Empower him to cut cords of worry with the saber of praise and to place his burdens on Your able shoulders. (Genesis 18:14; Deuteronomy 31:8; Psalm 9:10)
His Heart — Place a hedge of protection around his heart to keep corruption out and purity in. (Proverbs 4:23; Proverbs 17:20; Proverbs 17:22)
His Back — Protect him in the physical and spiritual realms. Keep him from the devil’s schemes that might trap him or trip him up. Thank You that no weapon formed against him will stand. (John 10:10; 2 Corinthians 2:11; Ephesians 6:10-18)
His Arms — Help my husband be strong and courageous in Your mighty power. Bolster his courage when he’s afraid, and reassure him when he doubts. (Deuteronomy 31:6; Joshua 1:9; Isaiah 30:15)
His Hands — Bless the work of my husband’s hands. Reward his efforts and bring him success. (Deuteronomy 33:11; Deuteronomy 28:12-13)
Lord, I lift up __________________ to You today. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

“God smiles when we praise and thank Him continually. Few things feel better than receiving heartfelt praise and appreciation from someone else. God loves it, too… An amazing thing happens when we offer praiseand thanksgiving to God. When we give God enjoyment,our own hearts are filled with joy.” – Rick Warren
It is not easy to give thanks in every circumstance. But when we choose to thank God in the midst of difficulty, it defeats the forces of darkness in the spiritual realm. When we thank God for every gift He has given us even when things are hard, the enemy loses the battle against us. He is stopped in his tracks when we come to God with a thankful heart.
Learn to be thankful for every blessing from God in your life. It is of great significance to Him if in the midst of great trials, we can be thankful. There is a way of looking at life from the standpoint of eternity. The reality of eternal life and eternal glory that far exceeds this life is a priceless treasure. Our afflictions are working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.
Let’s learn to thank God every day during all seasons.

A Prayer for a Thankful Heart
Lord, teach me to offer you a heart of thanksgiving and praise in all my daily experiences of life. Teach me to be joyful always, to pray continually and to give thanks in all my circumstances. I accept them as Your will for my life (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). I long to bring pleasure to Your heart daily. Break the power of the enemy in my life. Defeat Him through my sacrifice of praise. Change my outlook and attitude into one of joyful contentment with my present circumstances. I thank You for…
Jesus, I want to be like You who obeyed the Father without complaint. You embraced the chains of humanity when You walked this earth. Convict me whenever I complain or compare myself with others. Give me Your attitude of humility and thankful acceptance. I want to be like the Apostle Paul who learned contentment in every circumstance. I choose to continually offer You a sacrifice of praise, the fruit of lips that give praise to Your name (Hebrews 13:15). I long to bring a smile to Your face. Teach me the power of a thankful heart. I know that Your truth dwells in a thankful heart.“I will give thanks to the LORD because of His righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High. O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens” (Psalm 7:17-18:1). In Jesus’ name, amen.

On this page you’ll find powerful prayers for peace. Everyday life can bring challenges and discomfort, which can kick us out of our peaceful place. Ideally, we would be free of worry and stress and be able to enjoy our life, family, work and hobbies, carefree. Being burdened with worries can deprive of us of our energy and life purpose.
We tend to stress over many different matters of life, both big and small. This can include where to move, who to marry, what job to accept, how to spend leisure time, etc. But worry is a form of sin, for it means you are not trusting God. All areas of your life are of concern to God. Without these trials, we wouldn’t have any victories.
Our Lord has promised us peace in these times of trial. He has provided a way for us to come to him in our times of need. The peace he can provide us can guard our minds and strengthen us. In his presence there is peace.
Romans 15:13 – May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
The world can be cruel and unfair at times. We see good things happen to good people. God doesn’t cause them, but he is capable of blessing us with his peace. Practice the presence of God and pray. You can find peace by praying and meditating on what is holy. The act of praying allows you to think on purity, excellence and truth; this fills your heart with good.
Romans 8:6 – The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace.
Answered Prayer for Peace
I want to let the Holy Land Prayer group know how very grateful I am for giving me the chance to have my prayer request laid on Our Lord’s Anointed Stone with the lit candle. I was thrilled to see the pictures of them both. Although I couldn’t be in the most holiest place on earth physically I feel I was there spiritually and that Jesus was listening. I felt comfort and at peace. Thank You so much for giving me this opportunity and I will let my relatives and friends know about this super website.
You are capable of speaking to God with the quiet thoughts in your head and with the deepest feelings in your heart. Within these chambers of our soul is where God gives us answers in return; he gives us answers to our prayers through our thoughts and feelings. To stay in tune with the Lord and interpret his incites more easily, stay consistent in prayer and explore the scriptures. Ignoring the Lord’s insights will lead to more confusion in your life and a lack of peace.
Prayer is both a privilege and power given to us by God. Pray consistently and God promises to pour out his spirit upon you.
More Prayers for Peace
Saint Francis of Assisi
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow charity;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is error, the truth;
Where there is doubt, the faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light; and
Where there is sadness, joy.
O, Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying to ourselves that we are born to eternal life. Amen.
St. Theresa Prayer
May today there be peace within
May you trust your highest power that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance.
It is there for each and every one of you.
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as he did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that he will make all things right if I surrender to his will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with him forever in the next.
May I Be At Peace (Saint Teresa of Avila)
May I be at peace.
May my heart remain open.
May I be aware of my true nature.
May I be healed.
May I be a source of healing to others.
May I dwell in the Breath of God.
Prayer of Saint Francis de Sales
Do not look forward to what might happen tomorrow. The same everlasting Father who cared for you today will care for you tomorrow and every day. Either he will shield you from suffering or he will give you unfailing strength to bear it. Be at peace, then, and put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginations.
Calm and at Peace
I become quiet and focused on the Spirit of God.
Alone with the presence of God, I feel a great serenity.
I rediscover how refreshing it feels to be calm and at peace.
I feel as if waves of peace are washing over me and clearing away any tenseness and anxiety.
I know that I am eternally one with God.
In Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.
Peace of Mind
Dear God I ask for peace of mind. I pray that I am calm, collected and tranquil at all times today. I rest and relax in your presence. I let go of all anxious thoughts. I stop rushing and start praying. I let go and I let God. In Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.
Prayer for Peace in the Home
Our house is a place where we welcome you.
We give you freedom here.
Dwell within our family, may we feel you near.
Laugh with us, and dine with us, we listen out for you.
And when we sleep watch over us, we give ourselves to you.
We greet you every morning, we wake with you each day.
Please fill this home with heavens peace and lead our hearts to pray.
World Peace Prayer
Dear God, I pray for world peace.
Jesus you said, “I, when I am lifted up on the earth, will draw all men to myself.”
As I lift my thoughts to the high consciousness of peace, I help lift the thoughts of all people throughout the world to peace.
God, what a blessing it is to know that I can contribute to the peace of this world through prayer.
My prayers reach out to unfold all nations and people of the earth.
I know that the same presence of peace that is within me resides in people everywhere – no matter who they are, or where they live.
No matter what religion we profess, each person has been created with the peace of God at the center of his or her being.
God’s peace harmonizes all seeming disagreements and dissolves all differences.
God’s peace brings great freedom to all.
My prayer and my vision of the world is of a peaceful planet.
As I hold to this prayer and vision, I remember that peace begins with me.
I pray, in Jesus Christ name, Amen.
U.N. Day of Prayer for World Peace
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.
But I say to you that hear, love your enemies; do good to those who hate you;
bless those who curse you; pray for those who abuse you.
To those who strike you on the cheek, offer the other also;
and from those who take away your cloak, do not withhold your coat as well.
Give to everyone who begs from you, and of those who take away your goods,
do not ask them again. And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.
