EMERGENCY PRAYER REQUEST: Please pray for Karen in England who is in hospital. She is severely ill with M.E. and needs to put on more weight. She also has Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and finds the hospital environment tormenting. Please pray for caring, knowledgeable staff who believe M.E. is biomedical; for healing for Karen, particularly that she is protected from infection in her PICC line, and strength for the family and that she can come home soon. Please let us know how you are after we’ve prayed for you. Currently, we can only offer a one-off prayer for new contacts, as we are overwhelmed with prayer requests. However, if you feel you could do with more one-off prayers, then do contact us again!

Praying for others
If you would like to pray for M.E. sufferers, contact us at [email protected] and we will send you one or two names of sufferers who want prayer. Include your postal address for this as we like to send out prayer cards.
Privacy assurance: The Grace Charity for M.E. will only use email and postal addresses for the purpose of the prayer cards and these details will not be given out for any other reason.
Once per month we pray for M.E. sufferers and their carers. This is known as Grace Prayers.

The word ‘Hallow’
Most M.E. sufferers are probably extremely relieved that Hallowe’en is over, being unable to cope with the disruption and disturbance of it all. But the meaning of the word Hallowe’en is something rather beautiful, which is the evening before All Hallows or All Saints Day. ‘Hallow’ means to set apart as being holy, or to consecrate. Of course Jesus prays the line ‘Hallowed be thy name’ in the Lord’s prayer.

Lord, fill me with your holy Peace, not of the world
Lord, bless me with your healing Presence, touch and heal all hurt.
Lord, strengthen me with the power of your Spirit, ease the burdens that I carry.

Prayer for those who persecute M.E. sufferers If you feel able to, please pray for people in the medical profession, government and individual people known to you who are negatively affecting M.E. sufferers. There are many ways to pray for them: one way might be to hold a cross in your hand and say specific names or just to generalise.
Recent prayer requests Our charity will now pray for several M.E. sufferers who have contacted us in the last month, often globally.
We focus again this Graceprayers on Sharon, a severe M.E. sufferer in England, who is enduring overwhelming distress, both day and night, from noisy neighbours plus lack of a PA and personal care. Please pray that the noise will stop, that Sharon receives good care and ultimately that she is healed. Please pray that Sharon won’t be tested beyond what she can bear. Sharon would like to move to a quieter flat. Also, please pray that she is protected from going to hospital.
Please also continue to pray for Linda and Greg in England, that jets would stop their flying practice over their home. This has eased a bit but is still happening. They are also enduring other environmental noise. Linda is ultra noise sensitive from the M.E. Please pray that the Lord will heal her from this distressing symptom; also from severe chemical sensitivity, paralysis and disabling catarrhal problems. Thank you.
We add Jacqui in England to our prayers, asking God for a positive breakthrough for her this year, including her symptoms of POTS and general severe pain. She has had long-term severe M.E. Please pray that a good quiet neighbour moves in above her and for peace, strength and healing in Jacqui’s life.

Prayer for M.E. researchers and doctors Please pray for all M.E. researchers and doctors who bravely work towards the truth of biomedical M.E.: for their safety, protection and continuing of their valuable work without hindrance. Please also pray that the World Health Organisation’s entry of M.E. is kept as neurological and not transferred to mental health in the forthcoming reprint (due this year).
Pray for the revision of the NICE guideline for CFS/ME, due to be published in 2020. Pray that Graded Exercise and CBT are no longer recommended and that helpful biomedical treatments are offered. Also, that the selected panel is not prejudiced towards psychiatric/psychological treatments.
Prayer for each other and anyone else who comes to mind Please pray for the trustees of the Grace Charity for M.E. : for David and Monica; also for John ‘s health and for Catherine’s colitis which has gone on for 13 years now. We give thanks for God’s strength through it all.
