Prayer for calmness and clarity

So often in our lives happens the situations when we are lost or at least not sure how to behave. Sometimes it is so trying to make a decision and to choose the right way. You feel that you can’t rely only on your experience or on the advice of other people. You think that it is not the advice you need, it doesn’t lead to the peace in your mind and heart, you feel undecided and confused. The only thing that you want is some clarity in your thinking, some wisdom on which you could base your decisions. God is our Shepard, who guides us all in our life journey. We need to walk with Him, talk to Him daily. And of course, we can say a prayer for guidance, direction, clarity, and wisdom.

Prayer for Guidance, Direction, Clarity, and Wisdom

Everlasting Father, wonderful and counselor, you are the almighty God, the all-knowing and all-seeing God. Nothing is hidden from you, and even darkness is as plain as light before you. I praise and adore your holy name for who you are and for the things you do.

God, I approach unto your presence today in the multitude of your mercy; I know that you know my ways and I do not want to be wise in my own eyes. Thus, Lord, I ask that you lead me today and give me guidance, direction, clarity, and wisdom into your truth. God, order my steps by your Holy Spirit, let my choices be guided by your word, let me not go ahead of you.

I humbly ask for your guidance and direction today as I go through life. Please guide me in your love and lead me in your light that I may not fall into temptation, that darkness may not overtake me. God, I pray that you light my candle and enlighten my darkness. I pray for clarity in my situation. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

When to Say Prayer for Guidance, Direction, Clarity, and Wisdom?

A prayer for guidance, direction, clarity, and wisdom is a prayer we say when in need of counsel or light in times of confusion and trouble.

A prayer for guidance shows our absolute dependence on God for direction, wisdom, clarity, and inspiration. It is a prayer that every believer must consciously pray every day in order avail oneself of God’s help and direction in these changing times that we live in.

The prayer for guidance, direction, clarity, and wisdom is a vital prayer that one needs to pray daily. We daily make decisions, sometimes stand at crossroads and need direction. In all these situations we need a higher authority to lead and guide us the right way. Sometimes we don’t even notice traps or nets are in our way, but as we daily pray for guidance, the Lord directs us to victory.

We can’t afford to make mistakes that can cancel or dent our destinies hence; we daily desire prayers that the Father of light, the all-knowing God will give our heart counsel and guidance.

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy parts” (Proverbs 3:5).

The word direct means guide. Never assume that your judgment is right, never try to figure out things on your own, learn to say the prayer for guidance, direction, wisdom and clarity in all you do and God will keep you on track.

You need the prayer for guidance in a time of the battle. Your battle may be financial, spiritual, emotional, marital, parental, leadership, etc. If you will learn to trust God with all your heart, humble yourself and pray for guidance, direction, wisdom, and clarity. The Lord will deliver into your hands divine strategies that will give you the victory.

Not by power, by military strength or by political strategies, but by the Spirit of God mountains can be moved. Pray to Him for guidance today, and He will surely lead you into victory.

prayer for calmness and clarity

On this page you’ll find powerful prayers for peace. Everyday life can bring challenges and discomfort, which can kick us out of our peaceful place. Ideally, we would be free of worry and stress and be able to enjoy our life, family, work and hobbies, carefree. Being burdened with worries can deprive of us of our energy and life purpose.

We tend to stress over many different matters of life, both big and small. This can include where to move, who to marry, what job to accept, how to spend leisure time, etc. But worry is a form of sin, for it means you are not trusting God. All areas of your life are of concern to God. Without these trials, we wouldn’t have any victories.

Our Lord has promised us peace in these times of trial. He has provided a way for us to come to him in our times of need. The peace he can provide us can guard our minds and strengthen us. In his presence there is peace.

Romans 15:13 – May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

The world can be cruel and unfair at times. We see good things happen to good people. God doesn’t cause them, but he is capable of blessing us with his peace. Practice the presence of God and pray. You can find peace by praying and meditating on what is holy. The act of praying allows you to think on purity, excellence and truth; this fills your heart with good.

Romans 8:6 – The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace.

Answered Prayer for Peace

I want to let the Holy Land Prayer group know how very grateful I am for giving me the chance to have my prayer request laid on Our Lord’s Anointed Stone with the lit candle. I was thrilled to see the pictures of them both. Although I couldn’t be in the most holiest place on earth physically I feel I was there spiritually and that Jesus was listening. I felt comfort and at peace. Thank You so much for giving me this opportunity and I will let my relatives and friends know about this super website.

You are capable of speaking to God with the quiet thoughts in your head and with the deepest feelings in your heart. Within these chambers of our soul is where God gives us answers in return; he gives us answers to our prayers through our thoughts and feelings. To stay in tune with the Lord and interpret his incites more easily, stay consistent in prayer and explore the scriptures. Ignoring the Lord’s insights will lead to more confusion in your life and a lack of peace.

Prayer is both a privilege and power given to us by God. Pray consistently and God promises to pour out his spirit upon you.

More Prayers for Peace

Saint Francis of Assisi

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow charity;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is error, the truth;
Where there is doubt, the faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light; and
Where there is sadness, joy.
O, Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying to ourselves that we are born to eternal life. Amen.

St. Theresa Prayer

May today there be peace within
May you trust your highest power that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance.
It is there for each and every one of you.
Amen.

Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as he did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that he will make all things right if I surrender to his will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with him forever in the next.
Amen.

May I Be At Peace (Saint Teresa of Avila)

May I be at peace.
May my heart remain open.
May I be aware of my true nature.
May I be healed.
May I be a source of healing to others.
May I dwell in the Breath of God.

Prayer of Saint Francis de Sales

I know that I am eternally one with God.
In Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.

Dwell within our family, may we feel you near.

World Peace Prayer

Dear God, I pray for world peace.
Jesus you said, “I, when I am lifted up on the earth, will draw all men to myself.”
As I lift my thoughts to the high consciousness of peace, I help lift the thoughts of all people throughout the world to peace.
God, what a blessing it is to know that I can contribute to the peace of this world through prayer.
My prayers reach out to unfold all nations and people of the earth.
I know that the same presence of peace that is within me resides in people everywhere – no matter who they are, or where they live.
No matter what religion we profess, each person has been created with the peace of God at the center of his or her being.
God’s peace harmonizes all seeming disagreements and dissolves all differences.

But I say to you that hear, love your enemies; do good to those who hate you;

To those who strike you on the cheek, offer the other also;
and from those who take away your cloak, do not withhold your coat as well.
Give to everyone who begs from you, and of those who take away your goods,
do not ask them again. And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.

Breathing Meditation is the perfect meditation for you. It’s a very simple and easy meditation to do. Naturally! It’s something you do anyway. It will show you how to eliminate distractions so that you can work on developing a clear and lucid mind.

It relaxes you, and gives your body plenty of oxygen. Be careful you don’t fall asleep. It’s just that relaxing.

This meditation really is perfect, and the very best thing about it is that you reap benefits by doing something that comes naturally.

Help With Your Personal Development

Your personal development could be anything you desire, from going back to school to becoming an expert in the universal laws to building your dream home. Whatever it is, this particular meditation could give you more insight into planning those goals, and helping you to recognize what your purpose is.

When practicing the universal laws you need to be able to focus so that you can give power to your affirmations and use the visualization process to manifest your desires. So make this meditation part of your daily routine. You just may be surprised by the results.

Preparing For The Meditation Process

First, you need to find a quiet place where you can sit in a comfortable position. If you prefer, you can sit cross-legged on the floor. What’s important is that you’re comfortable. Just make sure your back is straight or well supported… this will prevent you from becoming tired and distracted.

Second, try to keep your eyes closed or partially closed. You want to focus on your breathing–not your surroundings. Breath naturally, in and out through your nostrils. Please don’t try to control your breathing. It should be your natural breathing pattern.

Feel your breath as you inhale and exhale. This feeling is what you will concentrate on and is also the object of this meditation. Forget your surroundings, and concentrate on your breathing.

Your mind will probably resist, and will run wild with your thoughts. In fact, it will seem as if the meditation is causing all these wild thoughts, but what’s really happening is that you are beginning to realize just how busy your mind is.

Do Not Chase After Your Thoughts

If you find yourself chasing after your thoughts, immediately return your focus to your breathing. Don’t worry if your mind keeps wandering. Relax and do this exercise as many times as it takes until your mind calms down.

Be patient, your mind will eventually calm and then you can concentrate on your breathing. When your mind calms down you will experience a sense of inner peace and relaxation.

As long as your mind is constantly churning and chasing thoughts you can’t experience the inner calm and peace the breathing meditation can bring. Actually this meditation alone could possibly bring you inner peace and contentment. All it takes is relaxing and calming your mind. When you’re at peace and content, a sense of well-being arises that could help you cope with all the chaos in your daily life.

A Busy Mind Is Full Of Stress And Worry

You and I both know that stress and worry can cause illness. So if you can eliminate the stress half your problems are gone. With meditative breathing your clear and lucid mind is able to deal better with problems and difficult situations and events that can occur.

Another side effect of this meditation? You become warmer and friendlier with other people and your relationship with them could gradually become better. This by itself is enough to make the breathing meditation worth the time and effort. Just 15 minutes daily could make a big improvement in your life.

Another meditation that is an excellent choice for practicing with your breathing is the stillness meditation. You can go here to read more about this.
