Prayer for blessing

Lord, bless me and keep me. Make Your face to shine
upon me, and be gracious unto me. Lord, lift up Your
countenance upon me and give me peace (Num. 6:24–26).
Make me as Ephraim and Manasseh (Gen. 48:20).
Let me be satisfied with favor and filled
with Your blessing (Deut. 33:23).
Lord, command Your blessing upon my life.
Give me revelation, and let me be blessed (Matt. 16:17).
I am the seed of Abraham through Jesus Christ, and
I receive the blessing of Abraham. Lord, in blessing,
bless me, and in multiplying, multiply me as the stars
of heaven and as the sand of the seashore.
Let Your showers of blessing be upon my life (Ezek. 34:26).
Turn every curse sent my way into a blessing (Neh. 13:2).
Let Your blessing make me rich (Prov. 10:22).
Let all nations call me blessed (Mal. 3:12).
Let all generations call me blessed (Luke 1:48).
I am a son of the blessed (Mark 14:61).
I live in the kingdom of the blessed (Mark 11:10).
My sins are forgiven, and I am blessed (Rom. 4:7).
Lord, You daily load me with benefits (Ps. 68:19).
I am chosen by God, and I am blessed (Ps. 65:4).
My seed is blessed (Ps. 37:26).
Let me inherit the land (Ps. 37:22).
I am a part of a holy nation, and I am blessed (Ps. 33:12).
Lord, bless my latter end more than my beginning (Job 42:12).
Lord, let Your presence bless my life (2 Sam. 6:11).
I drink the cup of blessing (1 Cor. 10:16).
Lord, bless me, and cause Your face to shine upon me,
that Your way may be known upon the earth and Your
saving health among all nations. Let my land yield increase,
and let the ends of the earth fear You (Ps. 67).
I know You favor me because my enemies
do not triumph over me (Ps. 41:11).
Lord, be favorable unto my land (Ps. 85:1).
Lord, grant me life and favor (Job 10:12).
In Your favor, Lord, make my mountain stand strong (Ps. 30:7).
Lord, I entreat Your favor (Ps. 45:12).
Let Your favor cause my horn to be exalted (Ps. 89:17).
Lord, this is my set time for favor (Ps. 102:13).
Remember me, O Lord, with the favor that You bring unto
Your children, and visit me with Your salvation (Ps. 106:4).
Lord, I entreat Your favor with my whole heart (Ps. 119:58).
Let Your favor be upon my life as a cloud
of the latter rain (Prov. 16:15).
Let Your beauty be upon my life, and let
me be well favored (Gen. 29:17).
I am highly favored (Luke 1:28).
Lord, let me receive extraordinary favor.

Blessing and Favor Prayer by John Eckhardt

prayer for blessing

As believers, we can know in our hearts that God is Sovereign and strong. We can believe that His plans for us are for good and that He has blessing in store as we follow after Him.

Yet often, when life presses and things feel stressed, when problems overwhelm, and hardships come our way, our focus gets blurred. We somehow start to believe that it all depends on “us.” Like maybe we blew it, messed up and got ourselves off the course from “the road to “success.” We spin our wheels trying to find a fast way out of difficulty. We feel like it’s up to us to make things happen. Stirring up action. Trying hard to get one foot into an open door, or wondering why a closed one shut. We start thinking that if we’re not “able enough,” “talented enough,” “brave enough,” that maybe God can’t quite use us.

We forget, that the very God who created this entire universe, who holds the stars in place, and knows the exact number of hairs on our head, also knows our way. That His favor rests on us as we seek after Him first, and He holds the power to cause things to happen in just a moment, that would otherwise take us years to do. He can line up our pathways to cross with others He wants us to meet. He can open doors that leave us surprised at how they open. He can close doors that He knows are not the best for us. He has a plan, in the good, and in every hard thing we face.

And often the greatest blessings come after the greatest times of testing.

Over and over in God’s Word, we see those whose lives He most powerfully used, after they had endured many hardships and trials. Their lives were not defined by the suffering or testing, but by God alone, who moved through the trial and brought greater good, blessing, and favor from it all.
Joseph.
David.
Moses.
Abraham.
Paul.
Job.
So many more…

Joseph says in Genesis 50:20,  “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.”

God paved the way of freedom for Joseph. Though it wasn’t right away, slavery and imprisonment could not keep him contained. For our Lord, in His purposes, had more still in store.

God will not allow any circumstance, or any person, to hold us back from His blessing, favor, and purpose for our lives. We don’t have to worry. Because we belong to Him. And we can trust Him with our days. God is Able, He is more than Able, to turn the toughest, darkest times, around for good. He will not waste our pain, but will use the difficulty of what we walk through for greater good, to bring blessing and freedom to others.

His Presence is with us and we can be assured in whatever we face, His plans for us are good.

A Prayer for Blessing

Dear God,

Thank you for your great love and blessing over our lives. Thank you that your favor has no end, but it lasts for our entire lifetime. Forgive us for sometimes forgetting that you are intimately acquainted with all of our ways, that you know what concerns us, and you cover us as with a shield. We ask that we would walk in your blessing and goodness today. That your face would shine on us. That you would open the right doors for our lives and for our loved ones, that you would close the wrong doors and protect us from those we need to walk away from. Establish the work of our hands and bring to fulfillment all that you have given us to do in these days. We pray that you would make our way purposeful and our footsteps firm out of your goodness and love. Give us a heart of wisdom to hear your voice, and make us strong by your huge favor and grace.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen.

We are children of the King. He is Sovereign and He reigns Supreme, giving favor, guidance, and blessings to all those who seek after Him.

Resting there today, hope you are too.

We humbly request your overflowing blessings upon our lives. We also take this opportunity to thank you for those blessings you have bestowed upon us that we take for granted and the numerous ones on the way.

Matthew 6:33-34

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Bless us with love, joy, peace and happiness. Bless us spiritually, financially and also with good health. Keep us safe, Oh loving Lord.

Those among us who lack wisdom, bless with knowledge. Those who are weak, bless with strength. Shower with energy those who are weary. Those who are blind, bless with sight. And those who are burdened, set completely free.

This is Day 1 of the prayer to receive revelation from the Lord and direction for your life in the coming year. To begin this process we will start with a prayer to release you from the past and prepare you for the future.

God has so much in store for you. 1 Corinthians 2:9 “However, as it is written:“What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived — the things God has prepared for those who love Him”  His plans for you are good plans to prosper you and give you hope and a future.

A lot of times we are unable to move forward and reach our fullest potential in the Lord because we have the chains of our past binding our

Prayer for Release from Past

ankles together and we harbor unforgiveness towards others and ourselves.

Read these scriptures and see what the Lord has to say about forgiving others.

“For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Heavenly Father will not forgive your sins.” Matthew 6:14-15.

“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.” Matthew 6:9-13

Matthew 5:23, 24 tells us that when we come and bring our gifts before the Lord, and there we remember that we have something against our brother, we should first go and be reconciled with him and then return and offer our gifts. Then we have clean hearts.

If the Lord forgives us of our sins, then we should also forgive others if we are looking for His blessings to flow unhindered in our life.  If the Lord forgives us then we should then forgive ourselves.

There is no need to walk around carrying guilt and condemnation about our past when Christ Himself has already released us from that burden.  Let it go. Romans 8:1-2 “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.”

The following prayer is a prayer of forgiveness and repentance.  If you would like to go much deeper with your confession of sins, here is a list that will help you uncover sins that may be hidden

Heavenly FatherI come to You now in the Name of my Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. I forgive ___(say the names of all the persons you need to forgive)  for anything that they have ever done or said to me and my family, I bless them in Your Name of Jesus and I ask You to forgive me for holding on to this sin for so long.  I ask that you give me the grace to move on from this with a spiritual release that only you can give. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Here is the prayer to forgive yourself:

Heavenly Father, I come to you asking you to forgive me for holding on to the sin that you have already forgiven. I pray you remove this guilt, shame and condemnation that is within my heart and mind concerning ______.  I no longer want to carry that burden as your word in 1 Peter 5:7 says that I should cast my cares on You because you care of me.  I also know based on 1 John 1:9  that You are faithful and just and will cleanse me from all my unrighteousness if I confess this sin to You.  Lord, I release myself now from these sins as a sign of receiving your forgiveness.  I bind up all demonic powers that would come to bring these accusing thoughts into my mind and I cast them into the abyss in Jesus Name.  Lord I also ask that you would show me the people or places where I need to disassociate myself so that this not return to me.  I trust in your cleansing blood Jesus to free my mind and my heart and know that it is indeed finished, In Jesus Name. Amen.

Spend today reflecting on the scriptures that you read here and meditating on Jesus’ forgiveness of your sins.  There are times when want to forgive someone and it is very difficult and every time we think we have forgiven them everything comes back to us, in these times since we are willing and we are using our will to forgive we need to ask the Lord to forgive them through us.  It is an activation of the Holy Spirit within you that works through you to forgive them.  We are such flawed beings that sometimes forgiveness can only come if God will do it through us.  If you choose, with your will to forgive, then you can ask the Lord to do the forgiveness through you because you are not able to do this in your own flesh.  This will work every time.  Try it and you will see.
