Answered Success Prayer for Passing Exam from Hazen
On December 28, 2016 I sent a prayer petition for my NCLEX RN exam, which was scheduled on January 4, 2017. I had my prayer request. A few days ago, I found out that I passed my exam and I am officially a Registered Nurse! This truly is an answered prayer and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who prayed for me and with me. The power of your prayers and well wishes were so helpful because during my exam, I can’t explain why, but I was so calm and at peace. A few weeks ago it was a different story, I was anxious and just so full of doubt about passing. But with your help through prayers, I had renewed strength and every time I see that someone is praying for me, my confidence grows stronger. All the things that I asked for in my prayer petition came true and it was then, during my exam, that I was experiencing the power of God. I know Divine intervention is the reason why I was able to answer my exam questions and it was that same reason why I passed my exam. My nursing license is indeed a gift from God and I would use this gift righteously to extend help to those who need it. So thank you everyone for your prayers! Your prayers and God’s mercy and love made me a Registered Nurse. This really truly was a miraculous gift sent from up above.

Father, I know that You are interested in every single area of our lives, and we find that we need to sell our house. At this time, we are placing this need into Your hands, knowing that You have told us to cast ALL our cares upon You.

God wants us to succeed in all that we engage in. We read in Genesis 1:28 that, “God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” As we prosper in the spirit, we are also to prosper in all we do and that is why the Word of God through the Bible urges to seek His wisdom and guidance in all our ways, in other words to submit a prayer for success in all our ventures. Is it Right to Pray for Success?
The truth is that the matter of success here in the world can be a complex and an emotionally charged issue. To answer the question needs God’s wisdom because answering too quickly in the affirmative may find one being accused of having some leanings towards the prosperity gospel angle. On the other hand, to deny the need for success would appear to contradict the message of the entire Bible which talks about God’s blessings for His people.

If you are asking God to bless you in all areas where you need victory and success, you could ask Him to expand your borders like He did for Jabez, in what is normally referred to as the Prayer of Jabez.
“And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow”. And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! Jabez’s prayer for success has 4 key elements:
- God’s blessing – Acknowledges God as the source of all our blessing (Genesis 22:17).
- Expansion of territory – Here, Jabez is praying for prosperity, increase and victory in all he does.
- God’s hand – Jabez is asking for God’s guidance and strength.
- Finally, protection from harm.
Implications of Praying for Success
How you pray show a couple of things about your spiritual life. First, it shows how serious you are when it comes to realizing your goals in life. As a result, if you are not really serious, you will not pray much about them and vice versa. More importantly, it reveals how much you depend on God for everything. Finally, the more you learn to depend on Him, the more you are likely to take everything to Him in prayer.

Throughout scripture, it is evident that God really wants us to become successful in life. It is by growing and making use our trust and faith in Him that we get strengthened so as to fulfill His superior Will or intentions for our lives- the hallmark of true success.
