The hand of the Lord – His hand hath wrought this. Job 12:9
They that wait upon the LORD….. shall renew their strength. Isaiah 40:31
Refining Work
You are being refined – purified in the fires of affliction for His glory. You are being renewed – remade in the likeness of His dear Son, for your benefit, so that Christ is all and in all – in your life. So that Christ is formed in you. The stinging blow that causes nerves to jangle and faith to wince appears an appalling mistake – and the soul cries in agony, “Why Lord Why ?”
Food of Faith
God Who chose you from before the foundation of the world knows that such trials are the food of faith. So in everything by prayer and supplication..with thanksgiving – praise Him – and trust Him – and take heart. God loves – God helps – God fights and God wins! God Who knit you together in you mother’s womb scheduled every day of your life. He crafted this, and His hand hath wrought this – for His glory and for your benefit. God delights to exercise our faith in life, and His purposes span the ages to come. God crafts our pains and disappointments into jewels of silver and jewels of gold.
Trusting Soul
We need to trust Him in all things.. even when we don’t understand, knowing that in Him all things work together for good – for whom? for those that that love Him.. for those who are are fitting into His purpose. Rom.8:28 God delights to exercise our faith, knowing that this is to the saving of the soul. This is not the salvation we already have as born again believers. It’s the maturing of the saints who, through patient endurance, mature in the faith.. for if we suffer with Him – if we patiently endure, we will reign with Him.. and desires you to be an overcomer – and to overcomer in all things – even this!
Waiting Heart
Don’t rush out and try to rectify what your perceive as a mistake or you could stay the hand of God and prevent His better purpose in your life. Wait.. wait on the Lord – and again I say wait – and your soul shall be blessed and your strength shall be renewed Isa.40:21
God’s Promise
Stand still and watch and wait and witness the salvation of God Ex.14:13 Ye shall not need to fight in this battle. Set yourselves. Stand ye still and see the salvation of the LORD with you. Fear not, nor be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you 2 Chronicles 12:17

Jesus, stop-
jesus christ you just killed him.
DON’T YOU FUCKING DARE TELEPORT-
goddamnit.
Jesus, you’re a carpenter. You don’t know the first thing about surgery. Besides, if you can perform those miracles, why subject the patient to hospital costs? Just magic away the problem.
Who says receding hairlines are imperfect you judgmental toad? Seems to me that if someone’s God, then they get to choose what’s perfect. THE BALDING ONES WILL RULE YOU!!!!
jesus christ you just killed him
I see what you did there. Clever.
ALL HAIL JEAN LUC PICARD!
If Jesus is truly god, and god is perfect in every way, then why would Jesus’s hairline be receding? Doesn’t seem so perfect now…
Hes only guiding the surgeons hand in cases where the patient doesnt die.
What a tool. That surgeon wasted 8+ years of school for nothing!
Fuck off, Jesus
The piece de resistance

“The First Sabbath” by Nathan Greene
I like this piece because I think of it as a foreshadowing of what heaven will be like. Just as Adam and Eve spent time learning from and talking to Jesus so will we. This painting also reflects what I call a “Sabbath mood” in the sense that the setting is in nature, it is peaceful and they are with loved ones. I also love the colors and the animals that Nathan Greene painted.

“Jesus With a Black Lamb” by Nathan Greene
It’s very interesting that Jesus seemed to be around animals often, and He frequently used animals in His parables. It would appear that Jesus had animals on His mind. This picture is important to me because I love animals and rescue dogs on death row. I don’t understand how some humans could be so heartless with their treatment of animals. This picture reminds me that Jesus loved animals and treated them with respect as all humans should. “The love of all living creatures is the most noble attribute of man.”

“Jesus is My Coach” (Artist unspecified)
This is a picture I found that I really liked because it fits me. I tried searching for religious paintings, but I wasn’t feeling many of them, so I tried searching for Jesus playing with kids or playing sports, and I found this one. I like to think Jesus would have played sports in his day, as a way to connect with kids and have some recreational fun.
From Crystal:
Title and artist?
I like this drawing because I feel it shows Jesus as this womans “man, boyfriend, husband”. They are embracing like they are in a relationship. She has a look of worry and concern on her face and he has an encouraging smile on His, like everything will be okay. I like this piece because when we are single, we should see Jesus as with whom we are in a relationship with. It reminded me of when I was single for 3 years before I met my husband, and I considered myself to be in a relationship with Jesus. He provided me with everything I needed and gave me every happiness and comfort in the world, something only He can do. No mortal man or woman can provide you with that kind of peace.
From Ileana:
“Lost and Found” by Greg Olsen
I chose this piece because I love the way that Jesus is so present in a contemporary setting. When you see Him sitting next to the young man on a park bench, He looks so involved and interested in the conversation. This photo is titled Lost and Found, which I believe is a representation of the story of the Prodigal Son. You can see that the young man has his belongings with him next to the bench. He might either be on his path away from God or returning to God. I like to think that the young man is returning and he is listening to the plan that Jesus has for him. This picture reminds me how Jesus is with us every day, just like a friend or a brother. He is always with us and is just waiting for us to confide in Him. I also like how Jesus looks like He is explaining something to the man. He seems to be giving him advice or teaching him a lesson. It reminds me how Jesus used stories and parables in the Bible to teach important lessons to the people. Jesus told the parable of the Prodigal Son to teach the people about God’s love and that no matter what we do or how far we may stray from God, He is always with us and is willing to forgive us and welcome us back with open arms. In this photo, Jesus might be explaining God’s love to the young man and telling him that no matter what journey he is on, God will always be there.

Untitled, by Cody Holcombe
This picture was taken by a good friend of mine, Cody Holcombe, in Great Smokey Mountain National Park. To me the contrast in this black and white picture really emphasizes the differences in the picture and gives it a much greater meaning. It reminds me of a battle, a battle that we as christians may be undergoing today. The picture is real and beautiful like the world, but within it there is a battle between good and evil. A battle that is happening whether we are aware of it or not. The spiritual meaning in this picture for me is a reminder of the ongoing struggle that I have as a christian and as a believer in God.
From Brianne:
“In His Image” by Bill Zdinak
This painting is a composite of 48 different faces, some famous, some not, and a few family members sprinkled in for good measure. I love the reminder that is so very present in this picture, that we should see Jesus in everyone we come across… a gentle reminder that “whatever you do for the least of these, you do for me.”
From Ahmad:
“Chief of Medical Staff” by Nathan Greene
The artwork I chose is a picture of Jesus guiding a surgeon’s hand in the operating room by Nathan Greene. Although I’m not a surgeon, or doctor, this picture reminds me of Christ’s presence in everything I do. It is meaningful to me because it makes the concept of God’s presence, which is something that I sometimes take for granted because I cannot see Him, more concrete and real. When I look at this picture I can see myself in my everyday (teaching class in front of all my students) and Christ standing right there next to me, guiding me. How very powerful and moving is that!
From Erica:
“Set Free” by a student
I like this picture because it reminds me of redemption through Jesus Christ. Jesus came to set us free.
“Matthew 7:13-14” by a student
The picture reminds me that narrow is the way that leads to eternal life. There might be ups and downs. But it is the blessed way.
“God’s Love” by a student This collage reminds me that all of us abide in God’s love.

“Guardian Angel and Children Crossing Bridge” by Heiliger Schutzengel
This is an image that is engraved in my mind. For whatever reason it was in all my sabbath school classrooms. It is a perfect ideal depiction of a guardian angel.381wwu.blogspot.ru
