But what is the best prayer for healing?
Scientific research has produced mixed results on the very act of praying for health and wellness.

“Studies have shown prayer can prevent people from getting sick — and when they do get sick, prayer can help them get better faster,” Duke University’s Harold G. Koenig, M.D
Some studies come to the conclusion that prayer improves health, while others show no effect and still others suggest that prayer may lead to worsening of health.
Part of the misinformation lies may lie in how “prayer for healing” is studied.
Though in the studies, the exact wording of the prayer hasn’t been the empathized , but rather of the mere of act and gesture.
The bottom line is this: real people, real believers and their real results, are the only thing that matter, in the end, regardless of what scientists find in the laboratories.
Here is a collection of healing prayers found around the web.

I know our days are numbered and sometimes You have a different plan, but You have taught us that sometimes we don’t have what’s needed because we haven’t asked, and so I ask for healing. May Your Spirit help me when I don’t know what to ask, and above all, may Your will be done. (Romans 9:15; Psalm 139:16; James 4:2b; Romans 8:26; Matthew 6:10) Read more at
A Healing Prayer StudyIn 1988, a doctor named Randolph Byrd reported to the world with the results of a study he had ran 5 years on the effects of prayer with cardiac illness. The patients all had the same condition. Dr. Byrd gave the first name, the diagnosis and the condition of an IP patient to different groups of 3 or 4 active Christians from several denominations.
When the study was over, Dr. Byrd found that there was a huge difference in the recovery among patients who’d been prayed for. This group was less likely to have a heart attack, need antibiotics or have intervention like ventilation. In the final conclusion, the author has stated and said that even though prayer by others outside of the study, personal prayer, and strength of religious convictions was not accounted for “Based on these data there seemed to be an effect, and that effect was presumed to be beneficial” About The AuthorTimwww.wellnessonfire.com Are you facing a difficult disease, illness or malady and want to cry out to God for healing but don’t know what to pray? God tells us that through prayer, He can speak to us and use us to work miracles for His glory. I pray that you will find miraculous healing as you seek God’s plan for your life – His plan to prosper you and to give you a hope and future! Here are Four Prayers for Healing you can use today to speak life and hope into your situation.A Prayer for Personal HealingGod, you know me so well. You created me. You know the number of hairs on my head, and you even know the thoughts conceived in my heart before I ever vocalize them. You’ve told us to come to you and ask for every need of life. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals, and you have the final word on my destiny, the number of years I’ll live and serve you on earth. I’m coming to you today as your child, longing to hear from you and asking for your divine healing. There’s so much I don’t understand about life. But I do know that with one touch, one word, you can make me whole. Please forgive me of my sins, cleanse me of my unrighteousness, and begin your healing from the inside out. I don’t always know what your will is Lord, especially in times like now, when I desperately seek your face. I offer you no promises, no bargains, no deals to exchange for my health. I simply bow my heart before you to tell you the desire of my heart: that I want to spend as many years as I can loving you here, loving others, and wanting to become more like you. However you choose to accomplish that is up to you—and okay with me. If you use doctors to provide healing, give them wisdom to know what to do. Regardless of how you accomplish it, the healing you give is always miraculous. And you deserve all the praise. I absolutely believe you have the power to heal. You demonstrated that on earth, and you still heal in miraculous ways today. Even when my faith is weak, you say it is enough, and my love for you is strong. And I know you already hold my heart and life in your hands. It’s up to you. If I can bring you more glory through healing, then that’s what I ask for. That’s what I desire. But if your answer is no, or not now, I know that your grace is sufficient for me. Ultimately, I want your will to be my will. I look forward to spending an eternity with you. But Lord, if you have planned still more for me to do here on this earth, I not only need and want your physical healing, Lord, but a thorough, deep-down cleansing and strengthening—a whole-hearted renewal of all that I am. Because all that I am is yours. Use this trial to strengthen me from a “what-if” faith to a “no-matter-what” faith. And no matter what, I choose to honor you and give you glory. How to Pray for Healing – Max LucadoA Short Prayer for Healing for FriendsLord, your Word speaks promises of healing and restoration and I thank you for the miracles you still perform today. Today I claim those promises over my friend. I believe in the healing power of faith and prayer and I ask you to begin your mighty work in the life of my friend. Please reach down and surround my friend with supernatural peace and strength and give her the faith to believe that all things are possible for you. Protect her from Satan’s lies and discouragement and let her miraculous healing begin. Amen. A Prayer for Healing and Grace Dear God, A Prayer for Healing Sick Family and FriendsLord Jesus, thank you that you love . I know that you hate what their illness is doing to them/me. I ask that you would heal this disease, that you would have compassion and bring healing from all sickness. Your word says in Psalm 107:19-20 that when we call out to you the Eternal one you will give the order, heal and rescue us from certain death. In the Bible, I have read of miraculous healing and I believe that you still heal the same way today. I believe that there is no illness you cannot heal after all the bible tells of you raising people from the dead so I ask for your healing in this situation. I also know from my experience of life on earth that not everyone is healed. If that happens here than keep my heart soft towards you, help me to understand your plan and help me to be excited about heaven. God, I thank you that belongs to you and that you are in control of everything that happens from our first breath to our last sigh. We hope this prayer for financial healing and information contained in this article will give you some guidance for healing your finances. Every person in one way or the other struggle in the area of finances at some point in his/her life. Christians are not exempted from this predicament despite observing great financial measures and much self-discipline and self-control on our part. We strive to make both ends meet, we juggle second jobs, we budget our salary as frugal as possible only to be confronted with lack, depletion, and money woes. Our home mortgage or rent is a monthly headache not to mention the utility bills and other household and family expenses. If we are earning a particular amount monthly, then our bills are almost double. To our distress, we depend on credit cards and other loans only to go deeper in a tumult of debts. Is there a way out or are we welcoming a lifetime of poverty, mendicancy, or lack? What does the Bible teach about healing in finances? Or is there such a biblical basis or principle? Our God is a very rich God, in fact, He owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50.10) or better yet the entire universe. He is the God of supernatural and divine provision. He is more than enough to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4.19) If that is the case, why do we still struggle financially if He can just give us everything we need, want or desire? God’s original intent is for man to live in abundance, provision, and multiplication. Since the fall of man in the Genesis account, man’s relationship with God was adversely affected because of sin and his sinful nature and the world became depraved and fallen as well. It has been a constant struggle for man to exist and live in this world because of the enemy of our souls and all the repercussions or consequences of sin. With that condition, man need a Savior to reconcile Him back to God for him to be made new and live and experience the abundant life God offers for him in the first place. In the Old Testament, the Savior is being foreshadowed in the life of the nation of Israel, God’s chosen people. God has been pursuing the Israelites to love Him back like a longing husband wooing his wife. Every event, character, trial or story in this period foreshadows this coming Savior who is able to deliver and save this favored and blessed people from tyranny. Come the New Testament, and this Savior called Jesus Christ, the Son of God was born and He lived and taught the people the kingdom mindset. He not only taught, healed, and manifested signs and wonders but He is able to save the souls of the entire human race, past, present and future from sin, sickness, and hell. Father God through Christ Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit is more than able to do more than we can ask, think or imagine. The Triune God is interested not only in your eternal salvation but also in all facets of your life including your finances. God has set natural laws in the universe. If you adhere to them like the law of gravity or attraction, life will go well with you but if you go against them, life will be difficult, if not dangerous. With the same natural laws, God has set in motion supernatural laws and principles that you can either obey or reject, it is your choice. In the Old Testament, the principle of tithing is carefully observed by the patriarchs and the Israelite race. Abraham gave Melchizedek a tenth of everything he got from the war. (Genesis 14) Jacob vowed to give back to God ten percent of everything if God will take care of him from that day forward. (Genesis 28.20) In the books of Leviticus, Numbers, Malachi, tithing is commanded by God. In the New testament, Jesus Himself did not remove tithing – (Matthew 23:23)“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.” He simply said that they need to practice justice and mercy and faith while observing the rest like returning the tithe. For Christians, obeying God by paying our tithes through our local church is not an obligation or a requirement but a sincere gesture of honoring God through the first fruits of our wealth. More than just by being under the umbrella of God’s favor and protection, observing the tithe faithfully is part of the kingdom mindset or royal priesthood, being royal prince and princesses in God’s kingdom. We are not paupers who are always in want, lack or poverty. By being royalty when we accepted Jesus as our King, we embrace and enact a lifestyle of royalty where we entrust our lives to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. God desires for His children to live a lifestyle of abundance, power, authority, and excellence. Joseph was born to be a prince and his journey from pit to Potiphar to the palace says just that. Amidst oppression, betrayal, abuse, and much tragedy, Joseph turns his environment into a palace every time. In the end, he became second in command to the Egyptian pharaoh and was responsible for saving nations from famine even his brothers who conspired and turned his back on him initially. (Genesis 37-50) More than just a coincidence, chance or good luck, Moses was raised by Pharaoh’s daughter and lived and was trained in the palace. For him to lead the Israelite nation out of Egypt, he has to be molded as a prince to perform his impending responsibility and purpose to deliver the Hebrew slaves and lead them to the Promised Land. (Exodus book) Jesus Himself is the Prince of Peace. He was born in a poor manger and nurtured by poor parents but He lived a life as a prince, not only a Savior among His people. He is able to turn water into wine, He fed multitudes with few loaves and fishes, He healed ALL diseases and drove out demons from the oppressed, and above all, He gave His life not out of generosity or lavishness but out of love, mercy, forgiveness, and gratitude. The ending is glorious in the future as Jesus the Royal Bridegroom marries the Body of Christ, the Church without blemish or wrinkle. (Revelations book) The first step towards healing in finances is to allow God to dismantle our pauper or poverty mindsets or strongholds. We need to meditate, declare, obey, and practice what the Word of God teaches with regards to money or finances. It is always a heart issue, our motivation in giving back to God, to ourselves, to others, and the world around us. God loves a cheerful giver. In the same way that we let go of the poverty mindset, we also need to get out of the love of money, greed, and useless wastage. The book of Proverbs and Ecclesiastes contain sayings on finances. Even if you enroll at Harvard Business school or take internships under Donald Trump or Robert Kiyosaki and other world-famous finance gurus, all the principles are based and taken from the Bible whether they know or like it or not. You may study, meditate, and practice one chapter of Proverbs per day. Declare it, believe it and act on it daily. The world’s wisest person (of course next to Jesus), Solomon compiled and wrote them. You know Solomon’s grandeur and magnificence during His time. For the practical side of it, assess and study your budget. Put four columns in a worksheet – SALARY – EXPENSES – DEBTS – PAYMENTS. Check your monthly expenses carefully considering the non-negotiables and the variables then stick with your list of expenses monthly. Devise a payment schedule for all debts, be logical and reasonable. If you can engage in a new business venture or job or part-time freelancing work, it would be better. You may utilize your inherent or innate talents and acquire new skills. By doing that, you will be able to do more things and work better. You may also look for Christian finance programs or mentoring for you to be assisted how to handle your finances wisely and grow your money. Find a Christian Debt Management company and work with them to get yourself out of debt. There are also many money management companies that will help you as well. We need to accept the responsibility to do the things that only we can do. There is one story I have heard about a Christian billionaire. He was interviewed how he is able to put up and manage multi-million businesses. He said his secret was every morning when he wakes up, he spends hours worshipping God and through this time, God is giving him heavenly, creative ideas how to work wisely and handle his affairs in a godly way. Another story of a Christian whose salary was only $800 monthly and his expenses was $1,600. He almost lost his apartment and suffered great financial problems for many years. In his broadcasted testimony he said, God reminded him of his tithe. He began tithing $20 weekly trusting God for everything and then he stopped again. His car broke down and he was walking many miles on foot to meet his fiancée. Then, he heard God said buy her some flowers. He turned at a florist shop and tried to buy flowers but there was none so he just bought a teddy bear. Then, the owner asked him what he does for a living. He said, he is a financial adviser and to his surprise, the owner had lumpsum and wanted him to manage his finances. When he did well, he referred him to 6 of his friends and he managed theirs as well. Right now, this person is a famous Christian financial adviser and his worldwide ministry feeds millions of meals to African children and helps disaster victims get on with life. If God can help him out of his debt problems He can help you too! Let us pray this prayer for healing in finances— “Heavenly Father, You are the Giver of good gifts. You are the one true God who made the heavens and the earth. Everything we see with our eyes, hear and taste and smell, everything is from You alone. It is Your desire to lavish us with Your goodness, favor and grace and so we do receive them all now. Forgive me, Father for the many times I remain stuck with poverty, lack, irresponsibility, wastage, defeat, and laziness. Heal and cleanse me, O God from anything that binds me to this mentality and stronghold. I reject the lie from the enemy that I will forever be in debt, depletion, want or need. That You are not able to provide and take care of me and my family. I break, shatter, and destroy all the lies of the enemy that this life of financial problems is what I deserve and will eat the fruit of. I believe the truth that Jesus died to give me an abundant life, profusely abounding to the full, until it overflows. I take hold of the promises in the Scriptures that You will supply all my needs through Jesus, Your Son by the enablement of the Holy Spirit in my life. I believe and affirm that I am a part of the royal priesthood, a prince or princess in Your Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. I will walk, talk and live a lifestyle of a prince/princess for as long as I live. Be King over my life and my finances. Impress upon my heart the importance of tithing and may I be faithful in doing your will in this area. Remind me of your scriptures in Malachi 3 that says you will remove the destroyer from my vineyard and everything that I plant will grow and not be devoured by the enemy when I tithe to my church. I appropriate the promises in Deuteronomy 28 that I am blessed in the city and in the country and everywhere I go. That my spirit, soul, and body, my family, career, ministry, finances, relationships, and dreams and desires are prospering. I call to things that are not as though they were. Thank You God that you are now healing my finances. Give me wisdom how to go from where I am to where I need to be… how to go from poverty and debt to prosperity and abundance, from sickness to divine health, from joblessness to opportunities and promotions, from death to life. I choose You and I choose life. I praise You for everything You have done for me today. May I be a living testimony of Your faithfulness and goodness for generations to come. I love You with all my heart, my soul, my body, my strength and everything within me. All is well now with my soul. In Jesus’ name. Amen.” If you have prayed this prayer for healing in finances, be encouraged that God is now doing something in your life. This is not prosperity gospel, this is kingdom mindset. When you honor God with your wealth, He will honor you with the desires of your heart and even more.
