Spiritual warfare prayers for the workplace

by Antoine (New Orleans, La.)

Please pray for me that God grants me the mental aquity & overall strenght to endure the very vicious attacks that are being directed at me on my work site.

Enemies abound there despite my conscious efforts to keep to myself & maneuver around the many pitfalls that are present in this environment. I work in a jailhouse and there are many vile & fouled mouth evil spirits that roam about seeking to devour those that ate not within the click.

I am looking to take an early retirement opportunity to exit this cold dark place. Please pray for God speed that the time elapses to allow my gracefully exit. Pray that i stand strong and not grow bitter toward the individuals involved in the onslaught against me!

Jehovah Shalom, I bend my knees before Your throne of grace, casting all my cares, my troubles, my doubts, my fears and my weaknesses on You, the Almighty God who sits upon the Throne.

Every negative entity will flee at the sound of Your mighty name. These trials and temptations that strikes me when I am most vulnerable shall vanish completely.

My dawn is approaching and my breakthrough is near as they are all transformed into lessons that will only make me stronger.

1 Corinthians 10:13  No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

I speak favor into my life

Deliver me from satan and his fallen angels, Oh Lord. I speak favor into my life as the overflow of Your abundant blessings pour down upon me. I embrace it, I embrace You, as the Holy Spirit draws near to me.

No man can ever convince me that my breakthrough will never come, for who God blesses no man curse.

I see my victory ahead. It is so clear to me that doubt and fear flee at the thought of it. All fear is gone at the thought of You bringing it to pass, Jehovah Nissi.

Proverbs 4:25-27  Let your eyes look straight ahead, and your eyelids look right before you. Ponder the path of your feet, And let all your ways be established. Do not turn to the right or the left; Remove your foot from evil.

Isaiah 60:1  Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.

Remove all negativity

Wipe out any signs of oppression, depression, sickness, negative thoughts, negative suggestions from those around me. Grace me with eternal love, joy, peace and happiness until the day I see You.

Show me how to dance in the rain and smile at the storm knowing that You are in the vessel. I declare a complete breakthrough in my life, for we are victorious through Christ Jesus, Amen.

“Commit your work to the LORD, and then your plans will succeed.”

– Proverbs 16:3

As we conclude our intercessory prayer series today, we will unpack how to overcome struggles on the job and demonic warfare in the workplace. Whether you’re a new employee of three months or you’re a tenured employee of 20 years, at some juncture, you will experience workplace conflict. This is partially due to the fact that when you bring individuals together, with diverse personalities, perspectives, and life experiences, everyone is vying for their voice to be heard. Now, while everyone has a right to voice their opinions, unfortunately, it may be impossible to implement everyone’s opinions regarding tasks, projects, and overall workplace operations. This cultivates a perfect storm of demonic warfare, which is designed to cause conflict in the workplace. However, through intercessory prayer, God is faithful to reveal how to uproot all of the enemy’s tactics from your work environment.

“For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.” – 2 Thessalonians 3:10

The word ‘work’ is found approximately over 700 times in the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible. Work is extremely important to God. According to 2 Thessalonians 3:10, God reminds us that if we don’t work, we don’t eat. So, if God values our efforts, we must know that He also values our voices and our happiness in the workplace, as well. God longs for His children to work together for His glory. To this end, we must learn how to view other’s perspectives without assuming that it’s an attack on our own perspectives. We must learn how to respect each other’s opinions for the betterment of the overall collective. We must learn how to communicate effectively with each other as we would want someone to communicate with us. We must learn how to compromise and work together in a solutions-oriented manner. And, we must learn how to apologize to others. These are just a few of the lessons that we must learn and implement in our respective workplaces. We would be remiss not to learn these lessons.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all of your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.”
– Colossians 3:23

The enemy knows that God deems work as valuable, so it should come as no surprise that the enemy would seek out the workplace as the perfect environment for demonic warfare. Yes, your coworkers will inevitably get on your last nerve. Every day may not go as smoothly as you intended. You may not wish to say ‘hello’ or collaborate with every coworker, executive, and staff within your organization or business. However, God commands you to reflect His ways. So, according to Galatians 5:22-23, you must exude the fruit of the spirit, including love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. If you operate in your flesh, you will not be able to say ‘hello’ to your coworkers when you pass them in the corridor at work, or collaborate with them on projects. That’s why it’s imperative to seek God in spiritual warfare prayer so that you can dismantle the enemy’s tactics, in Jesus Christ’s name. Don’t step out of God’s favor because your coworkers, executives, or staff are difficult to work with…Pray for them! You never know what strongholds they may be battling. Now, you can only pray for them after you have prayed and been delivered from your own strongholds, in Jesus Christ’s name!

“Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” – James 4:7

Know that when you are working alongside your coworkers, you may also be working alongside their strongholds. If someone is operating under the strongholds of offense, pride, stubbornness, jealousy, envy, anger, procrastination, laziness, lust, or fear, those strongholds will oftentimes rear their heads in the day-to-day encounters with coworkers. So, you must be vigilant in seeking God through warfare prayer before, during, and after your workday. The enemy is busy. He will take advantage of opportunities set before him to wreak havoc in God’s Kingdom. As a believer in Christ, remember that wherever you go, from your workplace to your home, you’re representing Christ. You do not have to travel abroad to conduct mission work. Your place of employment is considered mission work.

“But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.”

 – 2 Chronicles 15:7

Intercessory Prayer for Struggles on the Job / Demonic Warfare in the Workplace

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that you will forgive me of my sins. I believe that you gave your only begotten Son – Jesus Christ – to die for my sins. Today, I accept Jesus Christ into my life. God, I earnestly bow down to you and acknowledge you as my Lord and Savior. I thank you for being my El Shaddai! I thank you for allowing me to use my talents and gifts to generate income. Father, I know that work is valuable to your kingdom. I pray that you will bless me to work with excellence in all that I do. Whether I’m self-employed or employed by a business or organization, I know that I must work onto you, Father. And, because the enemy knows that you value work, the enemy seeks to plant seeds of demonic warfare within my work environment. However, through intercessory prayer, I believe that you, Father, will thwart the plans of the enemy to wreak havoc amongst my coworkers, in Jesus Christ’s name.

“For where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them.”
– Matthew 18:20

Lord, I pray that you will supernaturally deliver me and my coworkers from any strongholds that would cause us to be used by the enemy. If I am operating under offense, pride, stubbornness, jealousy, envy, anger, procrastination, laziness, lust, control, fear, or any other stronghold, I pray that you will deliver me right now out of the hands of the enemy, in Jesus Christ’s name. I rebuke the enemy’s tactics to use my coworkers, executives, and staff for his means. God, I ask that you convict the hearts of everyone that I work with to be solutions-oriented, not consumed by their own closed-minded ways. Father, I ask that you will show me who and what I need to pray for each day. I will designate time each day – before, during, and after work – to pray for your kingdom to reign in my workplace. I pray that you will grant me the strength to exude the fruit of the spirit so that I can be an authentic reflection of Christ to my coworkers and team.

“A hot-tempered person stirs up conflict, but the one who is patient calms a quarrel.” – Proverbs 15:18

Reveal to me, Father, strongholds that I may knowingly or unknowingly be using to manipulate others against your will. I pray that your presence will fill my work environment every day, Father. Let your Holy Spirit take over my workplace in a way that renders the enemy helpless. Also, I pray that you will bless me to have the discernment to know when I need to leave a toxic situation regardless of my tenure. Father, I know that you desire the best for me. I want my desires to reflect your desires. Lord, I know that you assigned me to work on this mission –  my current place of employment – so that I can be the “answer” to my business’ or organization’s challenge. However, once I have completed this mission and, if I need to move on to my next mission, I pray that you will reveal the next steps to me, in Jesus Christ’s name. Until then, I ask that you continue to be my strength and allow me to be the light in my work environment, for I know that light and darkness cannot reside simultaneously.

“May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us– yes, establish the work of our hands.” – Psalm 90:17

Father, I ask that you will convict my heart to read your Word daily. Bless me to seek your will in everything that I do at work. Father, bless my coworkers, executives, and staff to respect each other every day. Bless us to work together according to your Word. Allow us to find moments throughout the day to laugh and speak affirming words to each other. May your grace, mercy, and favor be upon me and others in my workplace. I thank you for being such a magnificent Father, in Jesus Christ’s name. Amen.

I pray that God will give you strength daily as you face the trials and tribulations of this world.

His End Is Near

Father,

I am excited for the day of Satan’s end!  Lord, come swiftly and deliver us from his wicked schemes for good!  Give me strength today, Father, to stay strong in the face of adversity.  May all of my thoughts and actions reflect You today.  I want nothing to do with Satan!  Bind him from me!  I love You, Lord!  Amen

“And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever!” (Revelation 20:10)

This Is Tough

Oh Lord,

I know my weaknesses and so do the demons.  Father, I am struggling big-time right now with pornography and I need You to carry me today.  Please, Lord, stop all thoughts of sexual promiscuity from plaguing me.  Please don’t allow Satan to tempt me in this today.  I need Your strength!  I need Your hands of might!  There is a battle for my heart and soul in this area and I want You to be the victor in my heart!  I love You, Lord!  Amen

“Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul.” (1 Peter 2:11)

The War Is Won

All Powerful God,

I extol You in praise!  I thank You for Your mighty arms of strength!  I bless Your Name!  I will proclaim to the masses that the war is over!  You have won!  You have defeated Satan with the cross!  Hallelujah!  His weak, pathetic existence will end in the lake of fire and I cannot wait until the end!  Until that time I pray that you will give me strength to endure the trials and hardships ahead.  Prepare my heart and soul for war today!  I love You, Abba!  Amen

“Blessed be the Lord, my Rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle!” (Psalm 144:1)

The Armor Of God

O Lord,

Every day is an unseen fight in the heart and soul of mankind.  I pray that today You will be pleased with my actions.  I will put on the belt of truth and not deceive those around me.  I will put on the breastplate of righteousness and treat all I see with fairness and integrity.  I will keep my shoes laced tight to deliver the good news, hoping that some will come to know You.  I will keep the shield of faith before me to extinguish the temptations that come my way.  I will wear the helmet of salvation and live joyfully knowing that I am not home yet!  I will have the sword of the Spirit ready at all times to deliver deadly blows to those that will listen to Your Word and truth, that they may come to realize how much they need You!  Father, I praise You and thank You for Your compassion on me!  I love You!  Amen

“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:11-12)

Forgive Me

Gracious Father,

Please forgive me for the iniquities that come from me heart.  Lord, sin has its pleasures, but the pain after is far worse!  Lord, I am sorry for allowing the temptations thrown at me to overtake me today.  I have sinned against You and I am so sorry!  I cannot understand the depth of Your love!  You knew from the beginning that I would sin so much against You and yet You paid my price in advance.  I am nothing.  I am the worst of sinners.  And yet, I am more than a conqueror through the cross!  Lord, I have failed You today but I will walk forward with my head high knowing that this was only a battle.  You have already won the war over my spirit and soul and I am Yours forever!  I love You so much, Father!  Thank you for the cross!  Amen

“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us!” (Romans 8:37)

You Are Stronger

Dear Lord,

I know today has its trials and tribulations to throw at me, but You are stronger!  The devil comes to devour and You already have the trap and snare ready!  The devil comes to destroy, but his efforts are wasted.  I have given my life to You!  Jesus has saved me through the cross!  There is nothing that can separate me from You, Lord!  I thank You for Your faithfulness, Lord!  Father, remind me today that You have got this under control!  I love You!  Amen

“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)

The Lost

O Lord,

My heart is grieving for those I love that are lost!  Their souls are in the hands of the enemy and they don’t know it!  What can I do?  Father, please use me to shine the light of truth to them!  Lord, I wish they could see what I see, to know what I know!  Give me the words to speak to them!  Lord, the pain that they will face if they die today is gut wrenching to me!  Father, give me peace of mind to withstand this chaos and be Your servant to the lost.  I love You!  Amen

“And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Acts 2:21)

Conclusion

Friends, there is an ongoing war daily for the souls of men.  Have you accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior?  He is the only way to be victorious!  I pray that God will give you strength daily as you face the trials and tribulations of this world.  May God bless you as you continue to live a life worthy of the calling!
