Prayer for Successful Testing and Exams

Lord Jesus, You know that I am very anxious about the tests and exams that I have to face very soon, and ask that You would calm my anxious, clouded thoughts. Please calm these nerves that I have, and let me rest in You always. I pray that as I enter the exam, that You will fill my heart with perfect peace that only comes from You. Please also give me clarity of thought, and prompt my mind to remember all the things that I have studied. Give me the wisdom and the ability to transfer my thoughts to paper. It’s in Your precious name I pray, amen.

Answered Success Prayer for Passing Exam from Hazen

On December 28, 2016 I sent a prayer petition for my NCLEX RN exam, which was scheduled on January 4, 2017. I had my prayer request. A few days ago, I found out that I passed my exam and I am officially a Registered Nurse! This truly is an answered prayer and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who prayed for me and with me. The power of your prayers and well wishes were so helpful because during my exam, I can’t explain why, but I was so calm and at peace. A few weeks ago it was a different story, I was anxious and just so full of doubt about passing. But with your help through prayers, I had renewed strength and every time I see that someone is praying for me, my confidence grows stronger. All the things that I asked for in my prayer petition came true and it was then, during my exam, that I was experiencing the power of God. I know Divine intervention is the reason why I was able to answer my exam questions and it was that same reason why I passed my exam. My nursing license is indeed a gift from God and I would use this gift righteously to extend help to those who need it. So thank you everyone for your prayers! Your prayers and God’s mercy and love made me a Registered Nurse. This really truly was a miraculous gift sent from up above.

Prayer for Success in Selling a Home

Father, I know that You are interested in every single area of our lives, and we find that we need to sell our house. At this time, we are placing this need into Your hands, knowing that You have told us to cast ALL our cares upon You.

Lord, we thank You for providing us with this home we currently reside in, but You also know the need to sell our home at this point in time, and we want to place the entire selling process into Your hands, praying that You would be with us to guide during the entire sale. We also ask that you help us find a new home, and to bring it swiftly into our lives as You see fit.

Lord, You also know who it is that needs to move into this house and Lord, we are trusting You to guide the right buyers to see it. We pray that at the right time they may be able to purchase our home as well.

Lord into Your hands we commit our lives and our future in Jesus name, Amen.

Prayer for Success In Trying Times

Father I have come to a trying time in my life, and I am not sure which direction to go. I know that if I seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, then I will be walking in Your best way for my life, forever and always. Help me Lord to be wise in the decisions I make at this junction, where various doors have seemed to close behind me. Lead me Lord in the direction that You would have me go day in, and day out. Lord I want my life to count, and I want to be successful in making a difference. Take my life Lord, and at this cross-roads I ask that You rearrange my direction as best seems for to.

As a part of the Christian review group on Goodreads, I had the pleasure of reviewing this book. Before I continue I want to stress that I do not share some of the theological views of the author (such as the Sinner’s prayer that ends the book). To be fair, I’ll split my thoughts into two parts: a technical review and a theological one. My star rating is based on how well I feel it accomplishes its goals for its target market, and has nothing to do with differences in opinion.

I see this book as more of an extended pamphlet, presenting a high-level overview of the topic of prayer and targeted towards new and potential Christians. It is reasonably well-written, but containing a few typos and an instance of confusing language. The text is centered and a bit off-putting. That being said, each paragraph presents a complete thought and works for its pamphlet-like format, making it an easy read for someone with little knowledge of the bible. It nicely connects scripture to ideas, making it an excellent resource for deeper discussion as the believer gains knowledge. While the author’s writing style is too formal and detached for a longer book, its short chapters and paragraphs work here to keep the messages concise.

The book also contains the idea of a “prayer room”, but the author does not explain what this is. I get the idea it’s an abstract place to put your mind during prayer, but it should be explained early in the first chapter, before it’s used.

I do want to express some of the concerns I have with the theology. For one, the book uses examples from the Old Testament of prayer doing some mighty works, like protection from intense fire or bringing forth water from a stone. I feel this can be dangerous to a new believer, because miracles occur not only because we ask them of God but because they fit into God’s purpose. In other words, God will not necessarily protect me from harm because I pray earnestly with no doubt; God may have perfectly good reasons to let me suffer that neither I nor my loved ones may ever understand. In my opinion, the author should add a section on how prayers are answered (or expand the chapter on why prayers are not) to clarify how they might be answered in ways that do not meet our expectations.

All in all, I’m glad I read this book, as my own prayer life could use some work and the author does make some excellent points – coming before God in humility, being bold about what you pray for, and being confident in God’s ability to answer. Thanks to Admire for the opportunity to do a review.

Prayer is an earnest desire that we take to God (aka The Divine, The Source) for fulfillment.  But not all of our desires are fulfilled.  For many, few, if any, of their prayers bring the results that they are seeking.  Yet, prayer has been proven to be effective.  Why do some prayers work while others fail?  Is there a formula for success?  Read on.

Before we get to the success formula, eliminate any thoughts in your mind that prayer is the same as begging God for a favor, and God chooses whether or not to grant this favor. We live in a participatory universe in which we co-create our reality with The Source.  Everything that we see in the material world is a projection of our thoughts.  The laws of the universe apply to all equally and unfailingly.

“Quantum mechanics is now telling us unambiguously that consciousness creates reality.” – Bernard Haisch

Everything in the universe is energy including our prayers. The more energetically charged the prayer, the more likely and the faster they will be answered.  Energy comes in the form of thoughts, images, feelings, and emotions.

7-Step Prayer Success Formula

Step 1: You must have the sincere desire. Mere lip service prayers will get you nowhere. It doesn’t matter what you say. The thing that counts is a heart-felt desire.

“As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” – Solomon, Proverbs 23:7

Step 2: Express precisely what it is that you want. Describe it in vivid detail in the present tense as if your prayer has already been answered.  For example: I am thin.  I am wealthy.  I am healthy. Even better (with added detail): I am healthy and fit at my ideal weight of 115 pounds.

It is important that you do not dwell on what you don’t want (don’t want to be fat) or the lack of something (want more money).  By doing so, you empower the conditions that you are praying to change.  For example, when you ask, “Dear God, please bring me more abundance,” in effect you are stating that abundance does not presently exist.

Step 3: Believe that your prayer request will be fulfilled. You can be confident knowing that these principles have been taught for many thousands of years and have been proven to work by Quantum Physics.

“Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”  – Jesus, Mark 11:23-24

Step 4: Supercharge your prayer by adding feeling.  Feel the feelings of your prayer already answered.  Greg Braden, in his book “Secrets of the Lost Mode of Prayer” (and on YouTube), says essentially that the feeling IS the prayer.  Feeling involves the heart, which is where the power lies.  The heart generates the body’s most powerful electromagnetic field: the magnetic component produced by the heart is approximately 5000 times stronger than the brain’s magnetic field.

The power of positive emotions is detailed in this article and in the short video below:

“There is a power inside every human against which no earthy force is of the slightest consequence.” – Neville Goddard.

Step 5: Be grateful and give thanks for your prayer having already been answered. When Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, He first prayed, and then thanked the Father for answering His Prayer. There was not yet any material evidence that the prayer had been answered. But Jesus had perfect faith. And it was justified. Immediately after He had given thanks, Lazarus came forth from the tomb!

Step 6: Become detached from the outcome. Watch your prayer unfold from behind the scenes, without any expectation that it will happen in any particular way or timeframe.  Because of your certainty, detachment, and gratitude, the fulfillment of your will take form in the most unexpected and miraculous of ways.

Step 7: Pray without ceasing. Prayer is meant to be active, ever-present, and co-creative with The Source. It is not a periodic, passive, and helpless appeal. Praying without ceasing is going through the whole day, every day, with focused intention for your life’s desires, with certainty, detachment, and gratitude.  Prayer is not something you do once per day and then act totally different the rest of the day. It is something that becomes a lifestyle. Act as if your prayers have already been answered.  That is praying ceaselessly.

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”  – Mathew 7:7
