Praying for the right job:

(Please share with someone who is seeking employment or a better job!)

Heavenly father, I ask that you provide a job suited for my needs this day. Lead me to a job that will accommodate me without hesitation. You are the rock on which I stand. I ask that You provide me with a job that is both stable and without shaky grounds.

I ask that my talents, skills, abilities and education will be put into practical use. That way, I can have sufficient to pay my bills, and place bread on my table for myself and my family. May I also be able to give back what is due to You, Father.

Lord, You command blessings upon me in my barns and in all that I put my hands to do, and You will bless me in the land which You give me. Right now, I proclaim that I will receive many job opportunities that will allow me to perform at my best, remembering You in all that I do.

I speak that doors will be opened to me in every direction I turn, because Your light shines upon me. I decree and declare that unemployment is of the past and will be no more. In Jesus’s name I pray, Amen!

Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;”

Matthew 7:7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”

Prayer – removing all barriers and blockage of gaining employment

Lord, for too long I have waited, and I am weary of being unemployed. Today, I cast my anxiety and worry unto You because You are the God that cares.

I am tired of being unwanted. Lord, let my race, gender, faith, family background and status be irrelevant to the employer. Let them choose me because Your goodwill is upon my life.

No more will I beg of bread but it will be given abundantly to me in the name of Jesus. Lord, Your word says that the same God who takes care of me will supply all my needs from His glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.

This I believe, and I rebuke all racism, unfairness, injustice, favoritism and prejudice in the name of Jesus. I speak prosperity in my life.

I pray against the devil who came to kill steal and destroy. Satan has kept me back from my blessings for too long, and I say no more!

No more will his hands tamper with my mind. But I will trust in the Lord of heaven and earth for my breakthrough.

Lord, You have done it all on the cross for me and no longer will I suffer the trouble of unemployment, in Jesus name. Amen!

Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Prayer when applying, seeking employment

Heavenly father, I come before You seeking Your help in this time of desperate need. Lord, You said to ask and it shall be given to me, seek and I will find, knock and doors shall be opened for me. Lord, this day You know my needs, You know my struggles, You know the crisis I face each day and you are not a God of confusion but a God who hears and answers.

You are Jehovah Jireh, my provider and you will never let Your children go a day without bread. I plead for a breakthrough in my life and I trust in You because victory is mine, in Jesus name.

As I am about to apply for a job, I pray for your four favor upon these resumes. I pray that you would cover and shield it under your blood so that whoever reads this will acknowledge it, and not only acknowledge it but I will be hired.

Through You Lord, these applications will be highly considered and favor will be mine. Your blessing upon me this day so that wherever my applications go, it will not be rejected but will be acknowledged. My resumes will not be void but I will get many opportunities for You are the God who gives.

I plead your light upon these resumes and I receive your blessings and believe it is already done. In no other name but in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen!

Praying when worried about finding work

We all need a job to survive. Without it, we feel worried because we cannot provide our basic needs. It is important to put your trust in God.

In times like these when the world is becoming so difficult to live in, all we can do is pray. Also, we know that children of God are highly favored, so why worry? Put your trust in God and not man.

Praying for a great job interview:

Jesus Christ who died for me. I bow before you begging for your guidance in my job interview. I pray for your protection and covering over me with your blood.

Lord, when I walk through that door, they will see your light shining in me. There will be no doubts in their mind that I am the desired person for the job. They will see only decency and ambition, honesty and integrity, determination and perseverance in me because you are the head of my life and I choose to do the right things.

Lord, help me to wear your amour so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. Help me stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled round my waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with my feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

In addition to all this, help me take up the shield of faith and the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God so that if I do these things, they have no choice but to take me because You are all they see.

I pray that I will speak only as you lead and nothing shall be on my own. Let my conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

Lord, help me to say the right things at the right time pleasing you in every way. Lord I pray that my appearance, speech, attitude, and behavior be in a manner of humbleness and not greed.

Guide my steps today lord as I prepare for this interview in Jesus name.

2 Thessalonians 3:10 “For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: ‘The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.’”

Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters…”

Prayer when Waiting to be employed

Lord I will trust in you. I acknowledge you and I know that you are working out big, great plans for me. Your timing is the best timing and I will wait for the time when you bless me with a job.

I thank you, Jesus for answering my prayer. I believe the job is already waiting for me and it is only possible through you. Whatever is for me will be for me. It does not matter if I don’t see a way out right now. I know that I serve a big God that is working things out for me.

You are a God of Your word and, as I pray, I know that no prayer of mine will be unanswered.

Wherever you lead me I will follow Jesus. I thank you because my job will be soon coming in Jesus name. Amen.

Psalm 90:17 May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands.

Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

We serve a big God:

Jobs may be difficult to find in times like these. The world is getting harder to survive in. Many times there is unfair selection of employees and this causes us to become victims of unemployment.

Many times your status and appearance influences if they choose you or not. Racism and religion are factors that contribute to whether you get a job or not.

Enough is enough! No more my friends!

We serve a bigger God. A god that is bigger than any company/organization. He’s bigger than any employer. Our God is greater than those who want to bring you down.

He is a just God and not unfair. If you believe in Jesus Christ, then all things are possible.

Deuteronomy 10:17 For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who is not partial and does not take a bribe.

In the United States today, so many people are unemployed.  Some are fearful of being laid off.  Others wonder about promotions.  Many are looking for better jobs.  There are a number of issues facing our country today regarding employment.  Here are 7 prayers that you can pray about specific needs in the workplace.

Prayer for Work

Most Merciful Father,

I’m at my wits end, Lord.  I feel like I have tried every avenue to find work and yet I have not gotten a single phone call about my applications that I have sent out.   Lord, I want to provide for my family.  I want to make a steady income that can pay my rent/mortgage and provide meals for my spouse and children.  Lord, you know what is best for me and I lay these burdens at your throne now.  You are good all of the time, Father, and I am placing my trust in you this day.  I love you Lord!  Amen

Jobs at Risk

Blessed Lord,

You already know before I speak what I am going to say.  Nothing I say is a surprise to You and yet You yearn for my voice daily.  I love You, God, because You love me as Your own child.  I bring you a huge burden today, Lord.  My company is downsizing because they are losing money.  O gracious Lord, my department was told about potential lay-offs.  I plead with You now, Father.  Please keep my position safe.  I am scared for my future, Lord.  I pray for Your peace that truly passes all understanding.  Give me an ease of mind as I continue to work at my job.  Lord, if I am laid off, it is because You have allowed it and I pray that You would have another open door ready for me to walk through.  You are King, Father, and I trust in Your will this day.  Amen

Possible Promotions

Wonderful Lord,

You have blessed me with so much, Father.  I have a wonderful family and church family.  I thank you for Your love and I must lay a burden at Your feet.  Father, You know about the promotion that I may get.  Lord, it would be a huge blessing to receive it.  I am not putting my faith in money, Lord.  My faith is in You only.  If You allow me this promotion, I will use it faithfully as You see fit.  I will be responsible with it and pay off existing debts and I will continue to tithe at church.  Father, I am giving this completely to You and whatever Your decision is, I will thank You because You are loving, gracious and generous even in poverty.  I love You, Abba Father.  Amen

Career Decisions

“While there are many problems facing us all at our jobs, we have one ultimate solution and that is to trust fully in God.”

Loving Father,

I praise You because You love me in spite of all of my failures and weaknesses.  You wash me in Your Word and clean my soul up more with each passage I read.  Father, I bring You a burden this day.  I feel like I am stuck in a dead end job with no possibility of promotion.  I am barely floating above water right now.  You have blessed me with other talents that I could potentially use in other career fields.  Father, if You are willing, I pray for You to open a door to a different career for me.  I would love to use the talents You have given me to provide for my family.  Where You lead, I will follow.  I praise Your name, Lord!  Amen

Am I Transparent?

Holy Lord,

Blessed be Your name always.  You have set my feet on a solid rock, Jesus Christ.  I thank You, Jesus, for Your bravery and love that saved me from my sins on the cross.  I will praise You forever!  Lord, I feel like a doormat at work.  I have tried to promote ideas to better the work environment while cutting down on costs.  Management usually pacifies me with words they will not follow through on.  They say, “we will consider it” but I know they forget about me as soon as they walk away.  Father, You have provided me this job and I am grateful for it.  I pray that you will soften the hearts of the leadership there.  I don’t even care if they reject every idea of mine, Father.  I just want to them to actually care and consider my suggestions.  I just want to be seen as a person and not an object to make them money.  I love You, Lord and I will follow You wherever You lead.  I love You!  Amen

Struggles with Co-workers

Beautiful Lord,

You are abounding in grace and mercy for Your children.  I am so thankful that You call me Your child.  Lord, work is getting stressful because of the environment I am in.  Father, there are many people who hate You there and they make my life miserable because they know that I love You.  I trust in James as it says, “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds.” (James 1:2)  I realize the benefit of being persecuted for believing in Jesus and I gladly accept whatever comes my way.  Lord, I pray that You would soften the hearts of my co-workers.  I will keep planting seeds, Lord.  I pray that they will let you water them.  I love you, Father.  Amen

Tragic Circumstances

Oh Merciful Father,

My company has lost a great man to a tragic accident and his life was taken from him.  Father, many people at work really loved this man and everyone is lost right now.  Father, I pray for strength while I am grieving.  Lord, use me to show Your love to all of those hurting at my job.  I want to be the light that shines in the darkness, Father.  I really need Your strength though.  Carry me, Lord, as I help carry others through this difficult time.  You are my strength when I am weak, Lord.  I love You, Father.  Amen

Conclusion

While there are many problems facing us all at our jobs, we have one ultimate solution and that is to trust fully in God.  God knows what is best for us in all circumstances.  I pray that you will trust in God fully with your employment burdens, wants and needs as you continue to live a life worthy of the calling.  God bless you all.
