Meditate with the Creator

When meditating on God, we must first think of him as existing (

Heb. 11:6

).

This is the first object of faith and the first act of reason.

The knowledge of the existence of God comes from the light of nature, the convictions of conscience, and the right use of reason.

By these three, men ought to come to a right understanding of the works and effects of infinite power and wisdom, and this understanding should greatly increase faith in divine revelations.

By this faith, we ought to have frequent thoughts of the existence of God.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength Meditation helps to renew the mind, to be still, to let go and surrender, to shut up.

When people reach out to the creator, it validates that you are doing what his word says to do.

To hear God’s voice, we need to learn to meditate.

What new beginning are you experiencing?A new job?A move to a new city?A new year?God is with us in our transitions.Joshua 1:8

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Psalm 4:4 Be angry, and do not sin.

Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah

Psalm 77:12 I will also meditate on all Your work,

And talk of Your deeds.

Psalm 119:27 Make me understand the way of Your precepts;

So shall I meditate on Your wonderful works.

Psalm 145:5 I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty,

And on Your wondrous works.

Prayer has power. When everything is falling apart, prayer holds.

Any one of us can suddenly find ourselves out of work, and looking at the job opportunities with failing hope and a growing sense of powerlessness that can truly affect both ego and spirit.

Prayer:

Lord, I feel stranded and abandoned. Although I am surrounded by well-wishers, there is a sense of isolation.

Friends who had pledged support are falling away. No one can know precisely what I am feeling right now; I cannot show them how frightened I am of this uncertain path that lays before me. I know only that it is a path I would not choose for myself.

Only you, Christ, understand how I vacillate between trust and heart-gripping fear, between “let this cup pass from me” and “Thy will be done.”

Amen

Meditation:

As you pray ponder Jesus’ desolation and fear; his humanity here eclipses his own divinity; fear is brought to the fore, acknowledged and lived through, before trust and surrender are able to take hold.

Although you may be more frightened right now than you have ever been, you can bring this to Christ. He has been this frightened. He is the knowing companion who understands before you say a word.Free resource

Affirmations For You

We are instructed to

confess or

speak out loud the promises of God , in faith, so we can receive them.

Confession is faith’s way of expressing itself. Confessing God’s word over the situation simply means speaking the desired. To confess positively is to speak words that we believe or want to believe.

But the fact is that our confession releases God’s will, words, and purposes into our lives. Begin to read, confess out loud, and by faith claim the promises of God.

God is going to fulfill His promises of life and love, of blessing and fruitfulness, in a way we have no conception of. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope.

When you “say the same words” as the Word of God while believing in your heart, that which you say you receive from God the promises of His Word are released into your life.

To confess God’s Word means to say the same thing that God says evident and written down in the Holy scriptures. That shouldn’t be difficult for it just means saying “Amen” (“It shall be so” ) to God’s promises.

Here are some confessions that you should make a daily part of your life.

Saying these words out loud where you can hear them will activate your faith, and THIS is the secret ingredient:

– I don’t worry about everyday life. God knows my needs and meets them because I make His Kingdom my primary concern.

Matthew 6:25-33 – The fruit I produce brings great joy to God, my Father in Heaven. John 15:8

– God’s power works best in my weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9

– My faith makes me whole in spirit, soul and body. Mark 5:34

– When I call out to God He answers me. He tells me things I wouldn’t know otherwise.

Jeremiah 33:3 – My faith makes me whole in spirit, soul and body. Mark 5:34

– My God meets all my needs. Philippians 4:19

– God is my refuge and strength …. always ready to help me in times of trouble.

Psalm 46:1 – God gives me strength when I am weary and increases my power when I am weak.

Isaiah 40:29 – I set my heart and mind on things above, not earthly things. This gives me peace.

Colossians 3:1-2 – I guard my heart because it determines the course of my life.

Proverbs 4:23 – I trust God at all times because he is my refuge.

Psalm 62:8 – I love God’s principles and meditate on them all day long.

Psalm 119:97 – I live by faith, not by sight.

2 Corinthians 5:7 – The “fullness of God” is available to me because I am deeply rooted in the love of Jesus.

Ephesians 3:17-19 – As I give up control, release my life 2 God and allow Jesus to live through me, God-sized things happen. Galatians 2:20

– As I follow Jesus and walk in his Way of Holiness, gladness and joy overtake me.

Isaiah 35:8-10 – The Lord is my good Shepherd. He provides for all of my needs.

Psalm 23:1 – When I humble myself before God in prayer, he hears me and I gain understanding.

Daniel 10:12 – My faith, that saves and transforms me, comes by reading and understanding God’s Word.
