“Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified. – Acts 20:32 (NIV)
As Paul is making his final remarks to the elders at Ephesus, he places their focus away from his leadership and toward the Scripture. The wise leader will not build around him or herself, but around the word of God, for only the Bible can build us up and clarify what we will inherit from God Himself. Some people are more in touch with their leaders’ views than the Scripture itself, but Paul challenges all of us to go to the source. How about you?
