Lord, open our hearts to receive Your Holy Spirit.
Teach us to await His coming, just as You did for Mary on the day of the Annunciation, and again on Pentecost – the birthday of the Church – when she was transformed into our Mother.
Show the new generation that Your Son, Jesus remains always and forever the one and only Savior of the World.
Help us proclaim in a loud and bold voice that He is “the Way, the Truth and the Life.”
The Way that leads us to our final destiny.
The Truth that illuminates our passage through the darkness of life and the world.
The Life that enriches us with profound peace.
Allow Your disciples, at the dawn of the third millennium, to speed up their steps towards obeying Your command to be “one” in unity with the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
May we approach the Lord, united, radiant with His light, without somber faces, so that the whole world may know and recognize Jesus Christ living in His disciples.

Return to 7 Daily Prayers to Get You Through The Week
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in prayer first to praise you and thank you for who you are; you are our creator, our healer and our provider, the giver of salvation and our strength and our peace. We thank you that you have given us the privilege and honor to be a part of such a wonderful place of ministry, MVCA. We thank you that you have created for us a place of great passion, great education, spiritual growth and an atmosphere full of love and character development that is missing in this world. MVCA is truly a family. We have been blessed with a wonderfully caring staff, beautiful families and a great facility that we are using to its’ fullest potential. We see the need for growth in many areas to complete the task that you have called us.
As we launch this Capital Campaign, we ask that you bless our efforts and bless our people. We ask that you prepare the way in the hearts and minds of those serving this campaign, those being asked to participate with their time and talents and those who will be asked to help support us financially. The hearts and minds of our children are the purpose and the complete intent of living our faith and launching our future.
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans that I have for you.” declares the Lord. “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Lord, let your plan for us be fulfilled, today! Move on our behalf. We thank you and give you all the praise and glory.
In Jesus Name,
My husband and I have always been firm believers in the necessity of prayer. In fact, we both desired to get married young and we both prayed for our future spouse long before we ever met.
God heard our prayers and He answered!
God told my young heart,
I can’t trust you with someone else’s heart until you trust me with yours!”
So, I spent time learning how to trust God, especially with my desire to get married. I faithfully prayed for my future husband.
My husband went through a very similar experience of chasing after God more than chasing after his desire for marriage. He prayed for his future wife and future marriage. Then when he was confident that God brought me into his life for this purpose, he proposed marriage by sharing with me how I was his answer to prayer! It was touching and an incredible testimony of God’s presence in our lives. Right after the proposal, he asked for my hand so we could pray together as fiancés!
Prayer became one of the most significant tools in helping our marriage when hard times hit. We believe it was the foundation of prayer that we established early on in our relationship that helped our marriage survive.
Prayer is how we communicate to our Heavenly Father, the One who designed marriage! Prayer is how we let God know what we are going through and what we desire. Prayer is essential for the life of every Christian.
We wanted to encourage single and engaged people who have a desire to get married to be faithfully praying for their future spouse. We have also had a ton of requests from single and engaged for marriage resources to prepare their hearts for marriage. We heard you! That is why we created:
