A Prayer For My Sick Child

Loving Lord Jesus, You are the good Shepherd of the sheep and You are the One Who carries the little lambs in Your arms – and gently cares for those that are weak and afraid. Lord it is so hard to watch a child in distress and feel helpless to aid them – but I pray Lord that You would safely carry this little child and tend for him/her as only You can.

I lift up this precious child to You and ask for Your healing power to permeate through his/her frail body and return him/her to radiant health and strength. Lord, Your scripture says that you heal all diseases and whoever believes in You will not perish but have an everlasting life. Strengthen me, Lord, in this time of illness. Sustain him as he lays sick in his bed. When You were on Earth, you did all things good and healed all kinds of sickness.

A Prayer to Ease Pain

Almighty Father, Thank you for your love, grace and mercy. I pray that my discomforts will turn to comforts, my pains to gains, my deprivation to more blessings, my losses to profits, my tear to smiles, my sorrows to pleasures, my illness to wellness, my debts to credits and my dreams to realities.

As the scripture said “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” And he “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

I trust in you Lord and in you alone to heal me with any form of skepticism towards blessing that you will be employed upon me. I trust, Lord, that this agony and suffering that is only in my head, will come to end and positivism will shine upon me as I read, hear, study and preach the truth in the Bible.

What does the Bible say about healing?

“Behold, blessed is the one whom God reproves; therefore despise not the discipline of the Almighty. For he wounds, but he binds up; he shatters, but his hands heal.”

“And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospelof the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.”

“And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spoke unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.”

“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another that you may be healed. The fervent prayer of a righteous man is effective and has great strength.”

Prayer for Protection and Care Over Our Children

Heavenly Father, we praise you for Your love and faithfulness in all things. We thank You for your protection and care over our families. Thanks be to You for giving us wisdom and righteousness for raising our children. We confess that some days, parenting is very tough. Many days we can feel anxious, stressed or overwhelmed. We ask that You would make us more like You, more aware of your constant Presence in our lives. Lord, according to Your Word, Jesus took stripes on His body so that we could be healed. He carried our infirmities, our downfalls, and bore our sicknesses to save us, and give us life. I come to you Father, and pray that my children are knowledgeable and skillful in all wisdom, discernment, and understanding that I know is a gift from You. I pray that they are competent to learn whatever they need to know, and that Your spirit fills them fully in all things. Lord, I know You can and You will give them the aptitude for understanding and wisdom when they are young, and when they are grown. Prayer for Your Child’s Obedience to the Lord’s Will

My gracious Lord, I pray that my children conform to Your will in every purpose, thought and action at all times. When they are faced with decisions, that they will raise their eyes to You for guidance. Life is full of uncertainty, but if they look to You in all things, I have deep faith in knowing You will lead them. I pray that they will follow Your plan for them, and always practice what is pleasing to You. May Your everlasting love fill their hearts and minds before speaking, planning or moving forward when it comes to decision making.
