Gracious Lord, I am here on my knees begging you to bring peace into my home. I ask that you send your angels down to protect us and keep us safe. Lord, allow us to trust one another and allow us to be vulnerable with one another. Allow us the right words to speak and true feelings to share.
I am patiently waiting for you to grant me this request. Help us to love you more, love one another under you and love our children with all our hearts. Please cast away all negativity so that we can love one another as you love us. Guide us and teach us how to love as you love. In your son Jesus’ name I pray. Amen

Prayer for peace in the family is Christian source of love, harmony, and unity. These days people are finding it hard to operate in their day to day relationships. They destroy one another with their words and sometimes actions. As said Mother Teresa “If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other”. Perhaps this is because they have never been taught how real relationships should thrive according to Word of God. Many times just a prayer for peace in the family is one of the most important things you can ever do. Pray and peace will be back to your family!

Prayer for Peace in the Family – Christian Source of Love, Harmony and Unity
Dear Lord,
I come before you humbly today with a prayer for peace in the family. Lord, you know more than anyone that my family is a gift right from your very own heart. Help me understand this gift that you have given me. You have meant for my home to be a place of peace. It is not your will for it to be a place of heartache and daily stress. Help each family member in my household function the way that you would have us to. We know that in this world we will never be able to escape trouble but remind us that you overcame it! As we submit to you, we can also be overcomers in the power of your might and strength.
Not only do I pray for my own family but also others. Many families dread going home after work. They dread this because home does not seem to be a place of peace or refuge anymore. They feel insecure. Help them accept themselves for their shortcomings. Also, help them learn how to operate in kindness and longsuffering toward one another. Help them communicate about daily needs and then bring those needs before your throne. Father, we know that your word says… Let us then approach God’s throne of Grace with confidence so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
God, we claim your promises, and we stand on them. We believe that peace in the family is possible. You word states all things are possible! So, plant in their heart an unconditional love they do not understand. Help them love even when they have been wronged. Help them shine your love in their actions. Because love is more than just a feeling. It is the very essence of you! Also, we know that “love with conditions” will never last. Love with conditions only cares if specific requirements are met. Love without conditions does not care if they are met or not. It loves regardless! Help my family and all families have peace by loving the way that you do. That is the only accurate way to have peace. Thank you, Lord, in advance for hearing this prayer for peace in the family. In Jesus Precious and Holy Name. AMEN.
The Bible says in Mark 11:24:”Therefore I tell you whatever you ask in prayer believe that you have received it and it will be yours”.
A simple prayer for peace in the family can work wonders
A simple prayer for peace in the family can work wonders between you, your spouse and children if you go to God believing what you have asked for! It can be Christian source of love, harmony and unity in your family. However, this prayer must be prayed with a pure heart! You even must go before God without having any selfish motives. The book of James has a warning that God will not answer some prayers if we come to Him with a heart of selfishness. Please read the Bible verse below.
“When you ask you do not receive because you ask with wrong motives that you may spend what you get on your pleasures” (James 4:3).
Now that we understand those crucial things, find time to pray daily. Will you join us? We promise to pray for our family as well as yours! So much is at stake if we don’t.

A Prayer of Love from 1 Corinthians 13
By Debbie McDaniel
“Love never fails…” >1 Corinthians 13:8
Known as the Love Chapter, 1 Corinthians 13 is one of the greatest reminders to us today of what real love looks like. And what it doesn’t look like. Widely read at weddings or written all over love notes, these words may become so familiar over time; they can almost lose some of their important message.
As we read this portion of Scripture today, let’s ask God for help in soaking in every truth as we pray His powerful words back to Him. Let’s ask for the freshness of His Spirit to bring His message of love alive within our hearts and flowing through our lives. We can’t do it on our own. We’d never be able to muster enough strength within us. It’s only possible through Him. And more than ever before, our world needs to see what true love looks like. We can do a lot of good things in this life, we can give gifts, and even make notable sacrifices for others. But if we do not have Christ’s love within us, compelling us, filling us, every moment of every day, “it profits me nothing.”
His words of truth and love:
“If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails…But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.” From 1 Corinthians 13:1-8, 13
Dear God,
Thank you that you are a loving, gracious God. Thank you that you’ve offered us forgiveness and the gift of new life in you. Thank you that your love is perfect, it never fails, and that nothing can separate us from your love.
We pray that our lives would be filled and overflowing with the power of your love so we can make a difference in this world and bring honor to you. We ask for your help in reminding us that the most important things are not what we do outwardly, it’s not based on any talent or gift, but the most significant thing we can do in this life is simply to love you and to choose to love others.
Lord thank you that your love is patient. Help us show patience with those around us.
Lord thank you that your love is kind. Help us to extend kindness to others.
Lord thank you that true love is not jealous. Help us cast aside feelings of jealousy or hatred towards others.
Lord thank you that your love does not brag and is not arrogant. Help us not to live with pride or arrogance, but to choose to walk with humility and grace.
Lord thank you that true love does not act unbecomingly. Lord help us to extend kindness instead of rudeness towards others. Help us to lay aside the critical tone and tearing down with our words, so that we can truly walk in peace.
Lord thank you that true love does not seek its own. Lord help us not to live selfishly, looking only to our own interests.
Lord thank you that true love is not provoked. Lord help us not to become easily angered. Help us not to be so quickly reactive, but instead slow to speak and slow to become angry.
Lord thank you that your love does not take into account a wrong suffered. Lord help us not to hold grudges, but to choose to forgive, even when it’s difficult.
Lord thank you that your love does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth. Lord help us to love your words of truth, may we walk in your freedom and wisdom. Let it be what drives our lives and choices every day.
Lord thank you that your love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things, thank you that your love never fails.
Help us to love as you love. Fill us with your Spirit so that we can choose what is best. We are weak Lord, but we know also, that even when we are weak, you are strong within us. Thank you that it’s not all up to us. Thank you that you equip us to face each day with the power of your love, your forgiveness, and your grace.
We love you Lord, and we need you today, and every day,
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.

The following prayer, known as the Prayer of St Francis, is a perfect one to pray when you are seeking to live in peace and joy. As Christians, the Bible encourages us to “let our light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:6) The prayer of St Francis reminds us just how we can do that! This is such an encouraging and uplifting prayer that teaches us how we can live like Jesus Christ and serve those around us, putting others needs first.
The Prayer of St. Francis
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is dispair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy;
O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Also known as the Peace Prayer, this text is a widely known and popular prayer among Christians. The prayer is often attributed to Francis Bernadone who was born in Assisi, Italy in 1181. After living a carefree childhood and young adulthood filled with wealthy entertainment and pleasure, Francis fell ill at the age of 20 and his thoughts began to focus on eternity and his relationship with God. Francis turned from his wealthy lifestyle and decided to give his life over to the church. He passed in 1226 after rekindling the love of God among thousands.
The actual text of the Peace Prayer of St. Francis originates from a small religious magazine named La Clochette that was published in France in 1912. The prayer was published anonymously but many believe the magazines founder, Father Esther Bouquerel, to be the author.
