My prayer for the night is this:
Jesus, I beg for you. I am longing for your guidance to be present with me in the state that I am in right now. Lord, I pray that you show me your comfort tonight. It says in 2 Corinthians that you are the God of all comfort, I trust your word and I trust that you will comfort me through all suffering. Be my strength when I am weak. Be my anchor. Be my rock. I long to hold on to your robe. I am seeking you face God and I pray that you reveal it to me so that I may walk around with an unveiled face. I pray that my feelings of loneliness be satisfied by your peace and comfort. I pray that all powers that have been oppressing me, powers that are not of you, to be sent away in the name of Jesus. I pray that you fill me with your Spirit. That your joy take over my soul. Show me the ways that you are working in this place, let your hand be evident. I love you. I love your ways. I love your promises. Make your name known among the nations, continue to reveal to me that you are doing that. You will surely do it. I give you my struggles, I give you my worries. I choose to rest in you. I choose to take on your yoke. Show me how to love like you love. Wrap me up in a blanket of your Holy Spirit.
I pray all of these things in the powerful name of Jesus.

i ask you lord to help me
please show me the way
shine light in the darkened corners
keep the shadows at bay .
men devastate in your name lord
killing and maiming is rife
we seem to have forgotten the message
god is the giver of life .
our political leaders send soldiers
to put their lives on the line
to enforce a political doctrine
as it has been since the beginning of time.
religious leaders spit hate dear lord
destroying the seekers of truth
promising martyrdom for murder lord
they infect the minds of our youth .
children die of starvation lord
corrupt goverments allow them to die
but one day the dictators will face you lord
i know you’ll ask them why.
you’ve looked into my heart dear lord
you know my faith to be true
i will believe in you forever lord
only one favour i ask of you.
lonely people lose hope dear lord
so i beg you to give them a chance
to experience true love my lord
to believe in the power of romance.
