Prayer for thanking god for blessings

Father, there are times when sorrow, worry, doubt, fear and anxiety overwhelms me. Thoughts of the future, the past, and whether everything will work out in the end, play over and over in my mind.

I wonder when my dawn will come, and if things will ever get better, for I don’t see a way. These thoughts break my concentration of all that I need to complete within my day. I am distracted from the joy and happiness You promised, that is renewed every morning.

Psalm 18:2  The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

Remove all obstacles to my blessings

Tear down those strongholds in my life, break every evil chain that tries to mislead me. Help me to be focused on my present, dear Lord, and let worry fall by the wayside.

Let my heart be filled with joyful praises unto You, each and every day. May I stand strong in faith, knowing Your Promises for me and my life will be fulfilled. For You are the God of truth and the blessings are on their way.

They will rain down upon me, abundantly and overflowing and I will stand in awe of You and praise Your Holy name with thanksgiving in my heart.

Lord, teach me to wait patiently on You as You work things out for me. Give me the strength to trust You in the midst of the storm and I decree, declare and claim that abundant blessings are going to flood my life.

Heavenly and Most Gracious Father, we come before you in prayer, to magnify and glorify your precious name and to give all the praise, honor and glory you deserve.

We humbly request your overflowing blessings upon our lives. We also take this opportunity to thank you for those blessings you have bestowed upon us that we take for granted and the numerous ones on the way.

Matthew 6:33-34 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Blessing of the Lord

Bless us with love, joy, peace and happiness. Bless us spiritually, financially and also with good health. Keep us safe, Oh loving Lord.

Those among us who lack wisdom, bless with knowledge. Those who are weak, bless with strength. Shower with energy those who are weary. Those who are blind, bless with sight. And those who are burdened, set completely free.

Blessings on family members

Shower these blessings on our family and friends, as well. Help us all to remember that we are blessed to be a blessing to others. Help us to help others even when we’re struggling with our own difficulties.

Lord, you know the desires of our hearts and you also know what we deserve. Bless us, with what you know is truly best for us.

Thank you for all you have done for us and we declare that your overflowing blessings will rain down upon us, today… In Jesus’ most precious name,

Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to gather with family and friends and reflect on the blessings of the last year. Many of us experience renewed hope and faith during the Thanksgiving holiday because we turn our eyes onto what is most important. What if we spent time each day in giving thanks and prayer? How could God grow out faith and trust if we lived a life of thanks through all seasons and not just Thanksgiving time? When your heart is filled with gratitude, there is little room to worry or complain.

We would love to encourage and help you along the way toward greater hope and joy! Below are 7 thanksgiving prayers you can use not only for Thanksgiving day but throughout the year. Start living out the promises of God that Jesus came “that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10. 

Prayer 1: A Daily Thanksgiving Prayer

“Dear God, Thank you for your amazing power and work in our lives, thank you for your goodness and for your blessings over us. Thank you for your great love and care. Thank you for your sacrifice so that we might have freedom and life. Forgive us for when we don’t thank you enough, for who you are, for all that you do, for all that you’ve given. Thank You, God, for the righteousness You credited toward me, through the death and resurrection of Jesus. It’s a righteousness I could never earn or attain on my own.
Thank You, Father, that You know me, You hear me, and You see my tears. Remind me through difficult times that You are God, You are on the throne, and You are eternally good.
