The workplace environment can be one of the most stressful places to be because of the tension that often builds up in relationships with co-workers. Unfortunately for many people, the Christian believer included; they feel that it is the norm and that there is nothing that can be done except to deal with it, complain constantly, or let the tension and stress cause you to leave. But there is another way that is effective especially when practiced regularly. Prayer! Pray for your co-workers and relationships within the workplace. There are nothing but testimonies that I can share about with you about how God shows up and answers prayer!
Here is a prayer I regularly and often pray for my co-workers:
Father God, I lift up all of my co-workers to you today . I pray that you will bless each of them today as only you can because you know them and you know the inner needs. I pray that you would meet them at their point of need today.
I pray for that you would help in their struggle with
Help all of us today to love each other and to respect one another. Help us to be mindful that our words and expressions can help or hinder another co-worker. Your word says in Proverbs 18:21 “The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.
Let us be intentional about making others feel included as a part of the team and welcomed to share in the group.
I pray for relationships within our group that are strained for whatever reason that you would work in those situations and help all involved to be willing to submit to one another. Help us to be mindful that you call us to treat others as we want to be treated according to Matthew 7:12 “In everything do to others as you would have them do to you; for this is the law and the prophets”.
Father, help those of us who know you set an example for those who do not know you and help us not to judge one another in the faith because we are all at different places on our faith journey.
Lord let your presence be known today in the midst of the work environment and let your spirit fill every cubicle and every interaction among us today. Let us be convicted immediately of all wrong doing whether it is something we say or something we do or something that we think about another co-worker.
Help us to bear with one another in love according to Ephesians 4:2 “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love”.
Father God, Lastly, may my attitude; conduct and character reflect that of Christ Jesus today so that the light of Christ may shine through me and so that I may make an impression for Christ with my co-workers that will plant a seed that will grow.
I pray this prayer with expectancy that you have already done so! In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father I come on behalf of Leann. Please let her know in this time of confusion that you still have a plan for her life. Please let her know her life is still of value to you. Please let her feel what true love feels like and it is unconditional.
Please let her understands YOU love her and want to protect her. Open her eyes and incline her heart to your ways. Lord at times I dread going in to work, as the comments and attitude that they have towards me is quite cruel and pray that You would put a stop to this abuse I am receiving– but I also know that You are a God who can bring good out of evil and even change things overnight. I know also Lord, that You had to endure so much worse from those that despised You and I pray that I may endure this difficult time at work, with the grace that only comes from You.

Oh Father God, I am so distressed that one of my colleagues at work has been involved in a fatal accident – and it is such a shock, not only to me and to colleagues, but also to his dear wife and their children too.
Lord we are all in shock and grieving at this tragic loss and ask for Your comfort and strength, as we all try to come to terms with what has happened – and how this life has been snatched away from us all, so suddenly.
Shine the light of Your hope and comfort into the hearts of all that have been affected by this very sad and sudden death, and I pray that You will provide all that is needful for his family, now that their bread-winner has been taken from them so suddenly and tragically.

Dear Lord, I lift up my hands and heart to You this morning as I start to prepare myself for another day at work – and I ask You to lead and guide me in all I say and do – and by Your grace may I bring glory to Your name throughout this day.
