Gracious Lord, I am here on my knees begging you to bring peace into my home. I ask that you send your angels down to protect us and keep us safe. Lord, allow us to trust one another and allow us to be vulnerable with one another. Allow us the right words to speak and true feelings to share.
I am patiently waiting for you to grant me this request. Help us to love you more, love one another under you and love our children with all our hearts. Please cast away all negativity so that we can love one another as you love us. Guide us and teach us how to love as you love. In your son Jesus’ name I pray. Amen

This is why we need a prayer for family unity because it is so important to a person’s well-being. We must also not forget that it is God who created families to accomplish his purposes. And he also made the rules for bringing about peace and harmony within them.
Inspirational Love and Peace Verses in Bible
Psalm 133: 1 says “Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity.” This verse from Psalm 133 cited states very clearly the goodness and pleasure that come when family members live together in harmony. The psalm goes on to say it is like oil running down Aaron’s beard, suggesting a smooth, free flowing relationship within the family. This sounds like a place where biblical love is in practice and manifests kindness, patience and readiness to forgive each other.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 says, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”
Colossians 3:13-14 says, ” Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”
A united family is one that prays and works together for the well-being of the individual as well as the group. Parents have a task with the primary responsibility to create harmonious setting, they should seek to establish between themselves soon after marriage. They also should lay the foundation for the rest of the family. This should include a common set of values, based on the word of God, to promote unity.
How and When to Pray
Say prayer for family unity at regular family devotions. Then all family members may hear and give mental or verbal consent to the desires expressed since it concerns everyone. Pray it on important occasions when individuals go off to college or marry. When you make important decisions such a prayer becomes relevant. It can reduce the possibility of decisions turning out to be disruptive. Prayer should also be offered when actions reinforce the value of family unity. This can be an encouragement to others to pursue it.
Never forget that true peace and harmony begins in the individual’s heart when Jesus is Lord. This is the best preparation for living in unity within the family.

Any problem and every problem under the sun can be solved only with prayer but we as human beings neglect this thinking that God wouldn’t answer us. But the sad part is that we do not believe in our prayer to God and just for namesake does it so, our prayers are not answered many times. Lord, we’re filled with grief that another human being has been
butchered
in the name of peace. I have claimed Allentown as a place of peace, yet I still see murders both inside and outside of the law. I would ask now in Jesus’ name that you send peace again to our city and let murders become a thing of the past. I pray that we would stop trying to solve our problems by putting more armed “peacekeepers” on the streets and instead in love address the real issues.
I pray that institutional racist with be obliterated in Jesus’ name and that there will be a new wave of freedom and hope for those in the inner-city. I pray that the violence will stop here and that the friends and family of this man recently murdered by police will not use this incident as justification for more violence.
Please fill our churches so full of love that it literally bursts out of our hearts in torrents both day and night. Lets those of us who claim the name of Jesus be known as those who love and live for the benefit of those around us. Please replace confusion with understanding, and lies with truth. The next time a person raises a loaded gun towards another, let that person become overwhelmed with the value of the life that he or she is about to take.
No one has the right to take another human’s life and I pray that we will all come to understand that down to the deepest parts of our souls. Please speak your truth about the value of life and the joy of peace to those who believe violence is the best means of dealing with sin. We know that You, Lord, took the punishment for all of our sins so we can be free. We have been redeemed and given new lives of love, joy and peace through Jesus. Let us all live out of this truth and let the same flow out into our streets in Jesus’ name.
