Prayer for justice in court

The judicial system is crucial to end slavery and create an atmosphere of freedom. Right now in courts around the world victims are seen as criminals and many times they never see justice. This week we will pray in faith for change and transformation around the world for places that are in need of justice.

One of the common factors that obstructs justice is prejudice and social inequality. In India for example justice is denied many times to women, in the Middle East rape victims can be put in jail. Injustice, so what happens when a girl is trafficked and sold as a slave. She many times is the very one that is criminalized, although small changes are happening we still have a long way to go.

Join us this week to ask God to change court systems, laws and bring freedom to those that have been victim to injustice.

Courts:

  • Justice: That court cases around the world would not show partiality to anyone because of funding, social stasis, race or religion but be objective and reflect justice. Exodus 23:2
  • Judges and juries: The judges and juries who are assigned to trafficking cases would be informed about slavery and the complexities with trafficking victims. They would have God’s wisdom in each case. Exodus 23:6
  • Lawyers: God would provide lawyers to fight for freedom. They would be anointed to try each human trafficking case they are given. Ezra 7:10

Laws:

  • New laws: Any gaps in laws that deal with human trafficking would be addressed and changed. Psalm 119:7
  • Current laws: Laws that exist would be enforced and judicial systems would pursue cases of human trafficking. Leviticus 18:5, Leviticus 25:18
  • Change laws: Any laws that criminalize the victim would be exposed and changed. Laws around the world would reflect Christ justice and heart for people. Psalm 119:108

Freedom:

  • Victims freed: Any victims that are enslaved because of unjust laws would be found and freed. Luke 4:18
  • Strength: Survivors and victims would have the courage and strength to stand up for justice. They would be freed from the fear of facing their trafficker. Deuteronomy 31:6
  • Survivors: Would find peace and know Christ redemptive power. Ephesians 1:7

Thank you for joining us to pray for the end of slavery. We know that your prayers are changing the world.

Countries around the world have laws that mandate slavery as illegal yet slavery still exist and generates a lot of money. Some statistics say as high as 32 billion dollars a year. And every country in the world has made slavery illegal. This clearly means there are major gaps in the laws that exist and the enforcement of the laws.

In the last 4 years of working in counter trafficking I can say that prejudicial treatment against victims, women, children, race, caste, education level can all result in the victim being blamed and the trafficker never brought to justice. So this week we are going to pray and ask God for change for the victims and for those that need justice.

Exodus 23:6

Enforcement

  • Victims: Any victims that are enslaved because of unjust laws or lack of enforcement of those laws would be found and freed. Luke 4:18
  • Justice: Victims of trafficking would have justice. Traffickers would be prosecuted for there crimes. Sentences would be a deterrent for others.
  • Police and Judicial Systems: They would pursue cases and enforce current laws and not blame the victim for the criminal.

Thank you for praying for justice and freedom. We would also ask you to continue to pray for the 250 girls still missing in Nigeria to be found and the trafficker brought to justice.

Prayer for Favor for those involved in Court Matters (Legal Battles)

Father, as I stand before the judge and jury today in the court matter, let no deceit befall me. Allow me to speak the truth, not only in this case but also in the ones ahead, for the truth will set me free.

Allow all the evidence at hand to work in my favor, to emerge victorious, and let no weapon, formed against me by the opposing side, prosper.

Psalm 84:11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.

I cast out any fear and anxiety in my heart that would hinder my victory. Let no false witness that rise up against me prosper.

I will cling to You, Oh Heavenly Father, for You are my strength in the midst of these legal battles. Help me to be calm and to think clearly. Ease my mind of the noise within, quiet my soul so that I can hear and follow Your instruction.

Psalm 5:12 For you bless the righteous, O Lord. You cover him with favor as a shield.

I thank You in advance, for I know with You by my side the battle is already won. I pray that You will grace me with Your favor within the courtroom.

Take control Lord, and guide me accordingly. I declare and decree that I will emerge victorious and give You all the praise, honor and glory You deserve, in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!

Isaiah 58:11 And the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong. And you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.

I cast out any anxiety that will hinder my victory. Let no false witness against me prosper. Click To Tweet
