Oh Lord our Father in heaven I pray it be done on earth as it is in heaven. So many of us including myself have lost our jobs.
In 2 Chronicles 15:7 The Bible tells us But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded. Our work now is to find a job.
Most of us lost our jobs because an evil people caused an economic collapse in the housing market. In our world and the U.S. our backs have turned against Our Father. We have allowed prayer to be taken out of school. We have made idols of our houses and cars.
I ask you to forgive us. We must remember everything is the Lords, our creator. Father forgive us. Psalm 37:39 The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord: he is their stronghold in time of trouble.
Lord only you have the power to correct the current economic crisis. I ask that you do. I know you have answered my prayers before. Please answer this prayer so many of us are hurting.

Holy Spirit, comfort the hurting people in our lives. Some of us are hurting right now. Some of us are hurting physically. Some of us are hurting emotionally. Thank you for being a personal God who cares deeply about our hurts. We receive your kisses of grace and mercy. Fill us with your love and peace. Caress our loved ones who are hurting and make them whole.
Lord, be with Lana and her mother today as her mother undergoes surgery for colon cancer:
Heavenly Father, please, have mercy and save my mother (79 years old) during her upcoming colon cancer surgery on Thursday, December 13, 2012. My mom is also a heart patient – please, God, let her heart be strong during the surgery and, please, let there be no complications during and after the surgery. Please, Father, give all of us the strength and the courage in these difficult times. Amen.
Yes, Lord, protect Lana’s mother as she undergoes this procedure and give her a supernatural recovery. Give Lana the strength and courage that she is leaning on you for. Thank you for being there for her, Holy Spirit.
God, you are faithful to pick up where we fall short. You fill in the blanks, so to speak, and when we surrender completely to you, we realize that there are a LOT of blanks.
We lift up our sister, Emily, who is hurting emotionally, battling depression and mental anguish.
God please I pray everyday to find the light I used to have in life but lately my body has been over taken by bad thoughts and I want so badly to end my life but I keep hoping that someone up there will hear my cries and my tears I shed everyday. I need my life to be what it used to be. I don’t want to be sad anymore. Its making everyone in my life unhappy to be around me. Please help me.
Lord, release Emily from this mental anguish. Give her words to battle the dark forces that are attacking her. Send people into her life who can give her insight into what sorts of intervention can help her through this. Thank you for the grace and mercy in her life. Give her peace in getting professional help if that will lift her out of this dark time. Thank you for mental health professionals, Lord!
God, we also lift up our brother, Phil. Set him free from loneliness, Holy Spirit:
Please pray, use all your faith and believe GOD will unite me (Phil Chavez) and my soul mate together as soon as it is possible with GOD by any means necessary. I’ve never had a girlfriend and been Praying and hoping for one for at least 18 years, I’m 40 years old now…Please also pray GOD will put it in the hearts of multitudes upon multitudes of people to pray for my prayer request…Thank You…..
God, I do believe in faith that you have someone special for Phil. God, bring him peace in the meantime. Holy Spirit, draw him into you. Bring him to new depths in relationship with you. God, I just got the picture of Aladdin and Jasmine on their “magic carpet ride” in Disney’s Aladdin, singing, “A whole new world!” God, reveal a whole new world to Phil. Transform him from the inside out, and help him to see himself and the world around him as you see it. Thank you, Jesus.
We landed on Friday, Bible Challenge Readers! I hope you’ll find a minute to check in and know that I am praying for you today.
Yesterday I received an email from a dear one whose heart is hurting so.
Her struggles are common to many of us.
Her pain is frequently born by everyday world-weary travelers.
At times of this nature, I don’t feel that my words can carry enough weight to relieve the soul of such heaviness. My human attempts that will comfort and ease her sorrow are frail and frugal at best. And so tonight as I write, I pray for her. And I pray for you, many of my readers who are enduring heartache and sorrow.
Our souls are weary.
Our burdens heavy.
There is not a time when we don’t need You.
We ask for your grace- to relieve the pain.
We beg for your mercy- to extend beyond our reach.
We cling to your promises- with all we can muster.
We praise You for the clay You shape…
Into the beautiful sculpture
That reveals Your Glory.
Some days, life is just hard. The days look dark. Uncertain times and stress mount high. An unexpected diagnosis or devastating loss can feel too difficult to face.
Though we may realize our faith is most strengthened, not in the easy times of life, but in the most trying, it’s often hard to walk that out once we’re swirling in the midst of it all. We long for carefree days, yet sometimes, God takes our hand and leads us straight into the darkest of times. Not to harm us, ever. But to bring greater strength, character, trust, beauty, and perseverance to the deepest part of our souls.
His desire for us in this life is to ultimately make us more like Him. To have a relationship with us. He will not leave us sitting in dark days but will walk with us through until we come out on the other side. Changed. Stronger. Renewed. With great purpose.
For those who need fresh hope today…you are not alone.
You are never forgotten.
He is with you.
Every step of the way.

A Prayer for When You’re Hurting
Some days feel too hard. We’re hurting. Struggling. Fighting fear and worry at every turn. Thank you in the midst of it all, you haven’t left us to fend for ourselves. Forgive us for doubting you are there. Forgive us for thinking you’ve forgotten. Forgive us for believing we somehow know the better way.
You are fully trustworthy. You are All-Powerful. You are Able. You are Lord over every situation no matter how difficult it may seem. You are Healer and will never waste the grief we carry today. You will use all things for good in some way. Anything is possible with you. Nothing is too difficult for you.
We pray for those who grieve today. We ask for your comfort to surround those who weep. We pray for the peace of your presence to cover our minds and thoughts, as you remind us, the enemy can never steal us out of your hands. He never has the final say over our lives. We are kept safe in your presence forever, whether in life or in death.
We thank you that your ways are higher than our ways and your thoughts are bigger than our thoughts.
We lay it all down at your feet, every burden, every care. Believing that is the safest place for it to be.
We love you, Lord, we need your fresh grace.
