Prayer and love

prayer and love

HIS love is unlimited for all eternity.

“I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine.” – Song of Solomon 8:3

Love might just be the most powerful entity that affects both the emotional and mental states. In other words, love can alter the way we act and think about a particular individual/entity. A mother’s love for her child is always unparalleled and a man’s always so possessive of the attention his lady shows. We can even call that jealousy and from experience, the greater the love, the greater the jealousy. That said, God is an extremely jealous Father. He is also an all-encompassing family that offers so much more in our times of need. So, His love compels Him to be with us through thick and thin. And since we’re our Father’s children, we can’t help but emulate such characteristics. Still, attention must be paid to the fact that tempering the love of God with ours leads to an eternal bond between people. And in favor of such blessing, we have the following love prayers that work quite well.

 prayer and love

Prayers for Love and Relationships

Prayer for Love to Return

God, I thank You for granting me the resolve to stand before You today in acceptance of my faults and wrongs. I know I have treated him/her badly and the pain I’m feeling is due to my levity on the part of his/her feelings. Please, God, I pray for an opportunity from You to apologise for my wrongdoings. He or she is the other half of me—the one that makes me whole. Father, I believe he or she is my completion and I pray that he returns to me. With open hands, I’ll welcome him/her into my warm embrace. Thank You once again for another miracle, Amen.

Prayer about Love for Others

Loving You is the best thing that has happened to me Oh Lord. You have stood by me ever since the fateful day that I accepted Your company. You have showered me with Your pure love, blessings, miracles, and divine protection. In fact, this prayer is only due to Your power. By which, You kept me alive to see today and to make a request. I pray, Father in Heaven that You open the eyes of my family and friends. And for the ones who love You like I do, Father keep both their eyes and mine open to Your devotion and adoration. I bless Your divine name for this deep and short prayer for love. In Jesus Name I Pray, Amen.

Prayer for Love and Happiness

Looking back Lord, I understand that happiness is key to having a love-filled relationship. And from my experiences also, I know You hold that key. God, I want You to open the door of joy in our lives so that this relationship will endure. It will easily endure ups and downs and the trials of time. Let me breathe in the aroma of sweet love and fully immerse myself in the happiness given by my partner. Father, I give thanks to Your name over the answered prayers, Amen.

Prayer for the One You Love

Love is the emotion that drives me here Lord. I love him/her enough to pray on his/her behalf and You love me enough to make level all my worries. Father, I need You to take good care of “Name”. He/she, despite the act, is always in need of Your favour and I pray that You show him/her more than enough. He/she shall be protected, raised heads about others, and miracles will be performed in his or her life. Praises be sung about Your everlasting mercy, and In Jesus Name, Amen.

 prayer and love

Prayer for Love and Marriage

As required by every child Lord, I bring my beloved to ask for Your blessing. He or she has been faithful, caring, and patient—so, I stand before You today, basking in Your glow as I ask that he/she be the one for me. I want a peaceful and joy-filled marriage that’ll be inseparable. Love shall be shared between us and there will be calm always. Father, prosperity in the areas of procreation, financial stability, and spiritual awareness shall complement our love. I thank You for Your daily attention to my needs, Amen.

Bible Verses for Love

A few bible verses compiled for your consumption daily.

“Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.” That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.” – Genesis 2:22-24

The relationship between man and wife has been established from the beginning. Such meetings with your significant others are thus ordained by God.

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” – Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Completion cannot be attained without a significant other. In fact, life isn’t so simple without your other and the verse above explains what that is about.

prayer and love

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” –  1 Corinthians 13:4-8

This is the kind of love that our Father has towards us. It’s also the kind of love that we should emulate towards each other (significant other, friends, and family).

“A friend loves at all times.” – Proverbs 17:17

The word “friend” isn’t limited to your close pals only. It’s a position that can be filled by God, your partner, and family.

One more morning, after one more night, One more thanks for keeping things right, One prayer to bed,one as you rise, Good morning God,thanks for another sun rise, Prayer is the fuel that keep us going, Through troubled times, pray for strength keep rowing, And without fear step out, face the unknowing, Although all around negativity blowing, Every day, even one positive seed, try sowing, Within my veins,God love is flowing, God is my friend, the devil, not interested to know him, Here comes the garbage truck, over there throw him, Don't just say you love God,pray show Him, Remember prayer keeps us,spiritual growing...

Darkest Of Days, When His Ship Finally Came Home

Darkest Of Days, When His Ship Finally Came Home A wicked chill, even her house could feel its creep Tho' silence would not hear its horrific demands. A dark dream, had awakened her from her deep sleep, With it, she felt blight and doom had come to her lands. Day's first somber hour, her heart felt its evil threats, As old clock ticked away with a deafening roar. She recited morning prayers, to hedge all her bets, Went into dirty streets to give aid to the poor. An angel waiting for ship to arrive in port, Heart and soul knew, he had been away far too long. Homecoming, one she prayed weather could not abort, Time flew by, to docks she raced, love singing its song. Faith, love and hope filled all her lonesome, aching heart, With such promises, her wanting nights had been spent. Sun shown bright, her heart suddenly felt a new start With merriest of thoughts, onto the docks she went. Crowd hovering around a blanketed body there Suddenly her heart felt greatest of her dark fears Please she prayed,"If its him, tis more than I can bear" Then she saw, her feet felt wet of her falling tears She had ran away, falling down to cry and pray Looking back, at his ship's flag wave, in wafting wind. Yet no answer came, Fate had had its dark death way Answering her cries," Please Lord, let this nightmare end". A wicked chill, even her house could feel its creep Tho' silence would not hear its horrific demands. An angel waiting for ship to arrive in port, Heart and soul knew he had been away far too long. Homecoming, one she prayed weather could not abort, Time flew by, to docks she raced, love singing its song. Pledge of love and loyalty

This pledge that l,Ntando, make today serves as my guideline that I shall follow happily, ungrudgingly and tirelessly for the sake of our love life. Indeed l am well aware of the fact that the beauty of this pledge does not only lie in word alone but in action as well. For that reason in every season I shall show steadfast commitment to the implementation of this pledge with a great deal of astuteness. I therefore commit myself to be your devoted and delivering husband for all the years l shall live with you on this earth. I shall treat you with the love and care you deserve as my wife. Indeed l shall treat you with the distinction and dignity that is befitting of the queen of my heart. That body, that bone, that breath shall be my mine to treasure, for sure; a dearness to promote and protect for dear life…and love! I shall stand by and with you in all the situations of our life. If the situation demands that we sail, sail we shall together. If the situation demands that we climb, climb we shall together. I know very well what l am getting into: I am getting into a marriage that is overflowing with blessings. This marriage- with our mutual commitment- will stand the test of time. I know very well what I am getting into: I am getting into a relationship that brims over with a transforming power of love. This marriage-with our mutual commitment – will transform naivety into maturity troubles into challenges pretence into practice pride into progress bachelorship into companionship. I pledge to be your steward and partner for all times. I shall value the consultations and decisions that we make as husband and wife. As head of the family I shall do nothing to derail our love train for anything else least of all for personal and selfish reasons. Now and forever I am your lawful and loving husband… This pledge that l, Nothando, make today serves as my guideline that I shall follow happily, ungrudgingly and tirelessly for the sake of our love life. Indeed I am well aware of the fact that the beauty of this pledge does not only lie in pronouncements but in practice as well. For this reason every season I shall demonstrate untiring love and loyalty to you; a love and a loyalty that is a living embodiment of our marriage vows. I therefore commit myself to be your honouring, supportive and loving wife for all the years l shall live with you. I shall treat you with the love and care that you deserve as my husband. Indeed I shall treat you with the dignity and nobility that is befitting of the king of my heart. On my mind it is always fresh that I am the flesh of your flesh. Green or grown I am the bone of your bone. I know very well what I am getting into: I am getting into a relationship that elevates me into a kingdom of wifehood. I shall endevour to put my family first with all the rights, obligations and privileges that come with wifehood. I shall endevour to wipe off and ward off loneliness and lostness from our relationship, seeking nothing but your companionship; banking on your stewardship, sinking together any hardship. Since you are mine I shall not do anything else to undermine our relationship for personal or egotistical reasons. Now and forever I am your lawful and loving wife…

New Years Resolution

Love more, when it is hardest to love. Show compassion, always. Be kind when deserved or not. Be patient, when you are at the end of your rope. Smile, when you are saddest. Pray when you are at your lowest. Thank God when you are at your highest. Written by Brenda Meier-Hans 12.18.2014

To All Of You

There are times we are left to cope With situations that drain our hope Leaving us full of despair At how some people just don't care About the evil that they do To good people like all of you We are left to somehow face That in mankind there is disgrace And those of us left alive Must find away to survive As you pick up the pieces of your life Without your mother, father, husband or wife And some of you God forbid Without the love of your kids We must band together with a brotherhood Show that in this world there is some good Because we are together in this deal We try to help each other heal We seek in each other good advice And offer each other sacrifice We hold each other in prayer and song As we continue to re-build the wrong Because what else in the world can we do Except let the light of good shine through The evil darkness and despair Of a catastrophic lack of care We want you to know you are not alone Think of America as a giant cone And all of us are funneling through Our prayers and hopes to all of you Posted for Nathan's 9-11 contest

Revive the Breakage

High upon the highest heights I see the most tremulous sight A small girl, fair and tranquil Smiling strangely, sitting still Beneath a sobbing willow tree She recites a verse upon her knee She sings a rhythmic hymn Not of death, nothing grim But prays that life will return Even for those who are doomed to burn The girl is a woman now Beneath the tree and upon the cloud She whispers, “I am watching you” Why then are you so blue? A single tear of sadness and joy Rejuvenate the quirky earthly boy Who sits down beneath the blooming tree Listening to her silent voice attentively She reminds him she was once young too That she also was a misty shade of blue But when the boy grows into man He has come to ignore the fair woman Who watches him still from above Burning and swelling with disdainful love The ways of the world have sweltered his heart And time has torn his soul apart Thus he has lost all innocence and light Battling his sinful lust—an endless plight! I watch as he feeds on others’ pains and fears Reducing the vigilant woman to tears The prayer of the innocent has been ignored Life has died and hellfire stored Into the hearts of the impotent In blue, fires of haze their heart is sent Toiling in misery and lament Savaged and severed by our regret The heavenly woman grows old and frail And the man still treads the sinful trail As the rotting tree withers into dust Can I revive it? –I must! Low as low can possibly be I watch myself condescendingly A tombstone, gray and hell-bent Frowning knowingly in bewilderment Above the dust that once was a tree She cries out a verse anxiously Faintly she whispers the undying hymn Not of happiness, nothing of whim And prays that life will come to end For those that break instead of bend

Love Gone Before

Dear God, As these hearts, ailed with sadness Look for reasons in the dark Turn their loss to hope and gladness When to your light, lost love embarks. Finding peaceful rest beside you Is our prayer this soul will find Into your arms with joy to cling to From pain and sorrow left behind. Tis but a whisper of your goodness That offers all that seek a home Forever promised in its pureness Null of fear to ever roam. Pray, we someday see the reason Not for them but we who wait That when it becomes our season We will not pine to meet our fate. Treasured love who’s gone before, Be at peace forever more… Prayer Contest Sponsored by Eve Roper Love Gone Before© 08/17/2016

One Prayer

Do not fear, my dear, what is unknown for my spirit surrounds your shaking heart Look out past those failing beams of your dying moon into the eyes of this brightest star watching lovingly over you illuminating your sparkle and shining into your soul In your darkest night, surrender and I will be there to comfort you In moments of weakness I will steer you home I will be your strength, your protector and your guiding light So be patient my dear, for I am only just one prayer away

Heaven’s Grocery Store

Marching down life’s highway, my feet became very sore I then came upon a sign that read “Heaven’s Grocery Store” When I got closer the doors swung open wide Next thing I knew I was standing there inside I saw a flock of angels positioned everywhere They handed me a basket and said, “Child shop with care.” Everything a human required was in that grocery store With many commodities to carry, you could always come back for more First I acquired some Patience; Love was in that same row Further down was Understanding, you require that everywhere you go I grabbed a box of Wisdom and Faith, a bag or two And obtained Charity of course but more than just a few And then reached for Courage to help me run this wicked race My basket was almost full but remembered some loving Grace I then chose Salvation for it was advertised as free I tried to collect enough of that for both you and me Then I started to the counter to pay my grocery bill For I thought I had everything to do the Master’s will As I went up the aisle, I saw Prayer and proceeded put that in For I knew when I stepped outside I was bound to encounter sin Peace and Joy were plentiful, the last thing on that shelf Song and Praise were hanging near so I just helped myself Then I asked an angel, “Now how much do I owe?” She smiled and said, “Just take them wherever you may go.” Again I asked, “No really, how much do I owe?” “My child,” she said, “God paid your bill a long time ago.”

The Hypocritical Christian

I am the hypocritical Christian. I say I follow Christ, But I'm still consumed by my demons. I go to church on Sunday, But I refuse to invite someone back. I want to serve on mission, But I'm too afraid to act. They think I read The Bible, But I just fall asleep in it. They think I'm positivity and smiles, But underneath I'm death and addictions. They think I'm clean and pure, But I'm broken and mistaken. I say I'm not worthy of His love, But Jesus will never let me be forsaken. I pray long prayers, But inside they're empty repetition. It might look as if my faith is strong, But my core is too easily shaken. I say the things I'm supposed to say, But don't follow His actions or obey. I speak the truth the church wants to hear, But deep inside on matters I don't know what to believe. I walk in shame as if I'm not good enough To be loved by God and saved through Christ, But there is nothing I could ever do to earn His peace; It's a free gift. I accept; Now forgiven, changed, and released. Thank You God, Thank You Jesus, Thank You Holy Spirit! In Jesus' Holy Name, We pray, Amen!

A Prayer for my Wife

A Prayer for my Wife Now I’ll tell you all the details if I can keep from sheddin’ a tear Last night when it got late and really quiet around here I got down on my knees, crossed my heart and began to pray And in the darkness between me and God, here’s what I had to say I love her so much Lord and I just don’t know what I’d do I’m afraid that she won’t make it, that’s why I’m coming to you Here with my heart open, at your mercy down on my knees I’m begging’ you with every heartbeat, Oh Lord hear my pleas I don’t know what your plans are or what you have in store And I know I don’t deserve her and that she deserves much more And don’t misunderstand Lord, I don’t assume any obligation For your bounty in our life has exceeded all our expectations But please allow her to live and me to be a part of that life And I swear I’ll make this beautiful woman proud to be my wife And if it’s not in your plans Lord then I pray that you take me instead Cause’ I can’t live without my love, I’d be better off dead And no excuses for my past Lord, but I’ll do better than I’ve done I ask you only this, my lord, in the name of your Son. I wiped my tears as I said my amen’s and prepared myself to stand Stepped up next to your bed and began to caress your pretty hand I stared off into space as all the memories came flooding in Reliving each and every moment, over and over again And as the first rays of sunshine, streamed in past the curtain I felt an overwhelming peace calm my mind and ease the hurtin’ I felt compelled to kiss you so I pressed my lips to your face And it seemed the room was filled in the beauty of God’s living grace And you slowly opened your eyes and smiled for me to see And I knew the Lord my God had given my sweet wife back to me

Nothing To Fear

Way before the sunrise is when I start my day I offer thankfulness in the prayer that I pray I do love the morning with its beautiful sunrise Especially when reflecting off clouds in the sky My life is a journey with my soul as the guide What makes it beautiful is my wife at my side My children are my strength; encouraging me I make sure that everyday is truly all it can be My friends are many though old-friends are few For I no longer agree with the things that they do I still hold them all in my prayers and my heart Nothing in this life could ever pry them apart So what is the story the meaning of this rhyme? The blessing is there if we just follow the sign To accept the blessings the place we must start Just be as a child and look through your heart Be as a child; cherish every one of your dreams If you wish to feed the river than become a stream Everything will happen in its own time and place You will truly find peace once you’ve found grace Since love is the place where we all need to start Remember, be kind and gentle to your own heart One day, “Old Saint Peter,” will open up the gate There is nothing to fear for heaven will be great

I AM YOUR SERVANT I adore You Oh God, my King and my God, The Most Powerful among all... I am Your servant Father God I want nothing but to follow You Tomorrow Oh Father God Coat us with the Holy Blood of Your Son Jesus Christ Father God, I acknowledge that You alone is the greatest source of wisdom, strength and guidance. Tomorrow Father God, me and my brothers and sisters in Christ will walk and try in every way to win souls as one Father God, we will try to seek for the lost, empty and sick as one Father God, we will share our life testimony this the life changing experience we have had since the day we accepted You as our God as one Oh Father God, we will be united in one will and one mission this is to widen Your kingdom We will do this by sharing Your gift of salvation and healing Oh Father God, I ask You humbly to fill us Cleanse and purify our hearts and minds Allow us to be worthy in partaking this task Sent unto us Your Holy Spirit to empower us I believe oh Father God that if one or two is gathered under Your Name You are in the midst of them I invite Your presence to engulf our beings Open our spiritual eyes to see those who needs you most Open our ears to be sensitive to Your living words--our bread of life Open our hands to give the best of what we have to serve You and I believe anything we will do for Your greater glory You will refill You said to Your words You will provide us everything Open our hearts and minds so that we may fully understand the preaching Oh Father God, Your servant is not a good speaker but I believe Father God, thru Your Divine POWER You will anoint me and so the words that will come out from my mouth are the words You want us to know Oh Father God, Your servant is not a singer but I believe Father God You will lead me You will not much care on how my voice is The most You will care about is the voice of my heart You will care on the purity of my intentions for You know that I am singing a song to lift Your Name on high, To give You praise, To bring You glory and to bless Your Holy Name I sing songs to thank You and to express my love on You. Oh Father God, Your servant is not "somebody" but I believe Father God You will make a "somebody" or "nobody" be "someone" under Your Name Like King David in the Holy Bible the youngest, the shepherd but You made Him the man closest to Your Heart Like Paul and Peter whom scared you turned them as two of Your greatest apostles. Oh Father God we rely on You, We seek Your presence in us Allow us to wear Your armour: a helmet that is Your salvation a belt that is the truth a breastplate that is righteousness a shield that is a fortified faith a pair of shoes that is Your living Words a sword that is Your Holy Spirit dwelling in us. I am thirsty and hungry for Your presence in my life. I know You alone can fill the holes still present in me. I offer myself as Your servant Father God speak to me, speak to me reveal to me, reveal to me tell me more, tell me more... Amen. ___________________________________________________________ O.EGuillermo 10:01 pm, April 16, 2015

Moments In Time

The sweetest sounds of burning trees A gentle stroking in the breeze The calm has lasted past the storm Cloudy visions, Satan’s roar Too many sights have passed my way A time found only in the haze The softest screams are running bare My aching bones creak as I stare You walk a distance towards me The fall’s eternal, can’t you see? I’m a memory in your heart I whisper to you in the dark The battle’s started at the end No one is coming to repent The sinners grab their wine from prey No judgment calling here to stay The sport is reckless to be told The one is laughing at his souls It falters nowhere to be sure The power grows forevermore Like a spirit in the wind I have no say in where you’ve been But cross the line to come to me And pay the price for ecstasy You walk a distance towards me The fall’s eternal, can’t you see? I’m a memory in your heart I whisper to you in the dark

Thanksgiving Day Prayer

Thanksgiving Day Prayer Today, dear Lord, we gather here In fellowship and love, Mindful of the wondrous gifts That come from thee above. For this feast, we thank thee, Lord… For health, that here abounds… For love, that fills and warms our hearts… For children’s happy sounds. For shelter of our cozy homes For freedom of this land For right to live the life we choose For nature’s bounty, grand. These blessings you bestow on us Outshine all want and strife. We thank thee, Lord for this day, We thank thee, Lord, for life. Sandra MHaight ~2nd Place~ Contest: Thanksgiving Sponsor: Nayda Ivette Negron Judged: 11/19/2016

ONLY HEALTH AND JOY I believe You Father God is in control. Tell me more... I want to know what else You want me to do; I want to know who else You want me to know, I want to know what else You want to reveal to me, Open my eyes, my ears, my heart and my mind let the wind the blows whisper to me let the sunshine tell me still there is hope let the blooming flowers tell me the possibilities let the tweeting birds be the notes to alarm me Ah!!! let it be Father God! Let Your Holy Spirit lead my feet Unto You Oh! God I laid my plans, Father God, look at them I want to know which of them brings You more glory and honor. I want to know which of them heads me to Your path. I want to know which of them draws a smile to Your face. You know and watch over me everyday, You know my every thought, my every heartbeat and my every action, I believe in whatever I do O Father God, You are already there for me You send hosts of angels to guard me You send the grinning sunshine to invite new hope Before I put all my effort, time, energy and all I speak to You anytime of the day for I believe everytime I speak with my heart You my Father God is listening kindly to me. From long prayers, written words, breath prayers, hymns... Though there are times, I can't even find the right words to say. And so what I do is to just close my eyes, then there silent tears roll on my cheeks but I know my Spirit will speak for me I want more of You and less of me I believe You are carrying me on this troubled path Never ever You will let me go Or never ever You will forsake me I trust You know me more than myself My past, present and my future You knew before I ever began to walk I believe You are holding me in Your palms You are fully in control of the events My win is our joint victory Hard-pressed because of the circumstances but I believe You will not give me these not because You see me a probable failure rather You gave this to me because I can... Together with You, I can and I will We will winWe will win. Despite these pains and tears I trust someday when I'll be with You You will smile at me and tell me I did well on the task You gave me And I pass, You will welcome me then Into Your loving arms where there are no more tears where there are no more pains where there are no more sicknesses where there are no more sufferings only health and joy... _____________________________________________________ O.EGuillermo 9:09 pm, May 15, 2015

An Angel In Your Eyes

Many years it had been since Sir Heathcliffe was home, He had travelled in countries abroad; He left in his grief at the death of his wife While he wrestled with sorrow and God. He had been round the world, and his troubles had too, And the thought of his daughter was one: He dreamed yesternight of her eyes greyish-blue, And he cried, "Heavens, what have I done?!" Thus it was that he stood at his very own gate, Yet unknown to his daughter within; And he prayed, "Lord, I hope that I've not come too late! That she lived while away I have been." First she opened the door and she bobbed down the stairs, Then she skipped with a smile down the walk, No thought all the while of her father's shocked stares Till she stopped with her hand on the lock; Then she covered her lips and she whispered, "Oh, my! You're the man on the mantel for sure! I've asked for ten years, but without a reply Who the man and the pretty girl were." And he said, "I'm your father who's been gone so long, And that angel, your mother who died: Forgive me for leaving, I realise 'twas wrong;" And he could not go on, but he cried. For he looked right into eyes of pale greyish-blue, And he felt the same rush of surprise As when years, years ago, with a pair that he knew, "There's an angel," he said, "in your eyes." Then she opened the gate, and they fondly embraced In a place where a young couple kissed; It was then all the pain of the years was erased, And the guilt of the life he had missed. "One angel," said he, "went away from my eyes, But the other, I left of my own; Till the day that I go to my bride in the skies You will never again be alone." ~Written by Isaiah Zerbst on October 11th, 2013~

Bob had been a lonely man ever since His wife of fifty years had passed. “Lord, let me join her.” he would pray. “Let this day be my last.” Each day, he went to the cemetery, Just a short walk down the street. After their talk, he would water her flowers And hear passers-by whisper, “How sweet.” One gray and misty morning, He had hoped for sunnier skies To plant fall bloomers at her graveside; But there, to his surprise… Stood an old dog beside her stone; Thin and dirty, but he struck a handsome pose. He whined as Bob approached, as if to say, “I could use a friend, you know.” He sat calmly as Bob planted flowers, Carefully sniffing each one Bob put in place. After the last one was planted, he sniffed it; Then turned and licked Bob’s face. Bob smiled“I had a dog when I was young… Pal…he was a mighty good one too. So, if you don’t mind old fella, That’s what I’ll call you.” Pal may have been an old dog, But he was smart and handsome in his way; So they made a deal, Bob would give him a meal And a bath, if he decided to stay. Pal loved his bath, then rolled in the grass. He slept on a blanket in the den. In the night, he dragged it next to Bob’s bed He intended to be Bob’s best friend. Pal was such a good dog, housebroken too; Never made a mess or got in trouble. He knew about newspapers, slippers and Frisbees; And when Bob called, he‘d come on the double. Yes, Pal gave Bob’s life new purpose. A special bond of friendship was cast. And never again did Bob pray, “Lord, let this day be my last.” For twelve years, the very best of friends, Together night and day; And so it was, until one evening, Pal quietly passed away. Bob held Pal in his arms and wept. “Oh, Pal…my best friend…you saved my life.” He caressed Pal as he reminisced; Then, sometime in the night, Bob joined his wife. The next morning, an old woman, Tears welling in her sad and lonely eyes, Brought fresh flowers to her husband’s grave; But there, to her surprise…. Stood an old dog beside the stone, Thin an dirty, but he struck a handsome pose. He whined as she approached, as if to say, “I could use a friend, you know.” He sat calmly as she took old flowers And put fresh ones in their place He carefully sniffed the fresh ones, Then, turned and licked her face. She smiled through her tears “I had a dog when I was young... A good one too His name was Pal.”

EIGHT DAYS HAVE PASSED "Give thanks to the Lord our God and King His love endures forever For He is good, He is above all things His love endures forever" ---------------------------------------------------- Eight days have passed since year 2016 began Father God, I welcomed this year with beaming smile and hope for a better, happier year to accept Your revelations and heartily with arms wide open set forth to live. Last year has been a big surprise Father God but wow, You always overwhelm me when You answer my prayer. Trials, disappointments and failures thud! thud! thud! They came too, battling with me, weakening my nerves that there are times, I am again asking why... I am again asking when is the ending because I'm all tired. Despite such times, I know, I believe and I continued to never ever forget to say thank You. I may have lost some opportunities but I thank You, You gave me this time to be with my family. Seeing my parents laughing and crying while they hold the first baby of our family, priceless. I admit, I miss these times for in my memory there's not such pictures or moments I recall. Thank You because after long long time, I celebrated my birthday with my love ones complete. I thank You that You gave me those times to finally speak out those buried heartaches that openned the door for better relation... It has not been easy because I even leave home just for things to cool down and let them all realize. Over that period, I thought I will be alone but no..You Father God sent a gift to me, since July 2014, what we have has grown to more and more. You know Father God how I yearn to have somebody by my side, someone stronger, wittier, funnier, better than I am and my being is overjoyed that You gave me a person far greater than I even wished, even dreamt and prayed for. I thank You Father God that You are making it happen for me, I do believe that there is so much more You have stored for me, I am relieved to let go of 2015 with a determined heart and receive the New year with positivity... With Your strength and wisdom that empowers me, I know anything that may come I can stand through and be victorious as You are with me, seeing me through since I was born. I hold on to Your promises Oh Father God and the fulfillment of the everything You have started in me. Faithful, merciful and loving that is You, I say with all I am that I love you and I thank You. Forever, I will declare and spread Your goodness in my life. Forever, I will utter my gratitude that You blessed me then and now. Forever to You is the highest praise, glory and honor. HOW OFTEN DO I SAY My God, h o w o f t e n do I say that I love you? Did I when You give me message and I speak? Did I when You give the Bible and I read? Did I when You give me directions and I obey? Did I when I followed Christ, Your Son? These Days

Met with you the first time, knowing not what I had just found. Working days and nights beside you, walking unit’s hard ground. Helping one another in and out of these day’s crisis. Trust in easy comfort sharing secrets and our vices. Blinded by your selfless nature under our same God’s eyes. Colored hues of virtue burned into your soul it rides Times enduring twelves in truth and depth of pasts and yet-tos. Corners turning heads to tails in trails you doing time thru. I have watched you suffer dating burden from his cold hand, Wanting many times to tell you to break from that dead man. Wisdom needing to remind me, hope was holding you still. Losing grip, you make the change and years returning, Love will. My prayers carry wishes for you, one day’s given good spouse. Under Holy Ghost’s soft guidance, making your home, God’s house. Sharing smiles and tears in keeping promise past the last day. Into Christ’s embrace that shines you through a Heaven’s gateway. Always just a thought away you will be after our end. Grateful in my heart to have been given such a rare friend

“Take every opportunity to remind someone,
‘I love you’
For whether in thought, intention, disposition, prayer, word, action or deed, no act so nobly imitates the Divine Reality – bestowing upon the human spirit the dignity, hope, courage and strength we all need to realize our full potential in the journey of life – as a sincere, authentic, heartfelt expression of love.”

— Mac MacKenzie

“Now he was gone.
She said a silent prayer. Sent it up to heaven.
Sam, if you can hear me, I hope you’ve got nice food where you are. Some vegetables like these. They’re meant to be good for you. So eat them all up, like I’m doing. When I die I’ll come and see you, and we’ll be together again. But for now I’m going to think of you safe and happy and playing knights with a friend.
Love from Ella. Your sister.
P.S. I got a good long turn with Godzilla today after we got here. Godzilla is very happy.
P.P.S. I forgot, you never met Godzilla. He is a puppy and is very cute. He belonged to a boy called Joel who got killed by monkeys. I think the monkeys were sick. Monkeys are usually nice. At least in stories.
P.P.P.S. Maybe you’ll meet Joel where you are. Say hello. He is nice.
P.P.P.P.S. Good night, Sam. The others call you Small Sam. To me you’re just Sam-my brother.
I miss you. I wish I was with you.”

— Charlie Higson

“You’re in a car with a beautiful boy, and he won’t tell you that he loves you, but he loves you. And you feel like you’ve done something terrible, like robbed a liquor store, or swallowed pills, or shoveled yourself a grave in the dirt, and you’re tired. You’re in a car with a beautiful boy, and you’re trying not to tell him that you love him, and you’re trying to choke down the feeling, and you’re trembling, but he reaches over and he touches you, like a prayer for which no words exist, and you feel your heart taking root in your body, like you’ve discovered something you didn’t even have a name for.”

— Richard Siken

“For me, prayer is a surge of the heart; it is a simple look turned toward heaven, it is a cry of recognition and of love, embracing both trial and joy.”

— Thérèse De Lisieux

“The only unfailing guide I’ve ever found through the innumerable blind alleys of my life as a writer, man, husband, father, citizen, steward, or believer, is the love burning in my heart. for me, prayer is about one thing: making contact with that love. though it burns in there like a candle flame, hot, bright, beautiful, love’s flame is so fragile … keeping one’s love burning, and living in accord with that burning: this, to me, is prayer.”

— David James Duncan

“My definition of prayer is simply communicating with God. It’s a love relationship first and foremost. Prayer is baring your soul to the One who loved you before you even knew of Him and letting Him speak to your heart.”

— Stormie Omartian

“Back in the sanctuary, the Reb concluded his taped message by saying, “Please love one another, talk to one another, don’t let trivialities dissolve friendships … ” Then he sang a simple tune, which translated to: “Good-bye friends, good-bye friends, good-bye, good-bye, see you again, see you again, good-bye.” The congregation, one last time, joined in. You could say it was the loudest prayer of his career. But I always knew he’d go out with a song.”

— Mitch Albom

“To live always in the Secret Places of the Most High, To think only those thoughts that are inspired from above, To do all things in the conviction that God is with us, To give the best to all the world with no thought of reward, To leave all recompense to Him who doeth all things well, To love everybody as God loves us, and be Kind as He is Kind, To ask God for everything and in faith expect everything, To live in perpetual gratitude to Him who gives everything, To love God so much that we can inwardly feel that My Father and I are one, This is the prayer without ceasing, the true worship of the soul.”

— Christian D. Larson

“I cannot worry much about your sins and miseries when I have so many of my own. I can only love you all, poor fellow travelers, fellow sufferers. I do not want to add one least straw to the burden you already carry. My prayer from day to day is that God will so enlarge my heart that I will see you all, and live with you all, in His love.”

— Dorothy Day

“The prayer of listening makes things simple but it also makes us vulnerable, and that is frightening. Listening makes us open to Christ, the Word of God, spoken in all things: in the material world, the Scriptures, the Church, and sacraments and, sometimes most threateningly, in our fellow human beings. To listen at prayer is to take the chance of hearing the voice of Christ in the poor, the weak, those whom we love and those whom we do not love.”

— Benedict Groeschel

“I concluded that an active sexual relationship between two people of the same sex might therefore reflect the love of God in a way comparable to marriage, if and only if it had about it the same character of absolute covenanted faithfulness.. I have reached this definitive conclusion after 20 years of study and prayer.”

— Rowan Williams

“Never will I pray for the material things of the world. I am not calling to a servant to bring me food. I am not ordering an innkeeper to provide me with room. Never will I seek delivery of gold, love, good health, petty victories, fame, success, or happiness. Only for guidance will I pray, that I may be shown the way to acquire these things, and my prayer will always be answered.”

— Og Mandino

“Prayer is never just an emergency flare or desperate anxious gamble. God’s attention is not based on our performance but parental love.”

— Timothy Keller

“Prayer is first and foremost an act of love”

— Brennan Manning
