Intro: Heading off into our day with prayer
It happens to all of us. We are in a hurry, or distracted, running late and we forget to start off our day with prayer.
Heading off into our day without a solid foundation of prayer is like skipping breakfast, and we are soon feeling weak and confused and unable to cope with the spiritual trials of our day.
We make mistakes, get angry, and say things we wish we hadn’t. We offend our Lord by sinning.

In the name of Jesus, I bind up the principalities, powers, rulers’ of the darkness of this world, spiritual wickedness & hosts in high places, & the prince of power of the air. In the name of Jesus, I bind up the spirit of strife & division, back biting & gossip, critical & judgmental spirits, spirits of resistance & hindrance, every spirit of retribution, revenge & retaliation, & the lying, seducing, deceiving spirit of deception. (I TIM. 4:1,2) In the name of Jesus, I bind up every root of fear, doubt, unbelief, discouragement & every deadly D from despair to depression, the spirit of pride, rebellion, disobedience, self, ego, independence, unforgiveness, bitterness, lust & the flesh.
THE LORD JESUS CHRIST REBUKE YOU YOU EVIL, UNCLEAN SPIRITS. (Jude 9, Zec. 3:2) I loose, in the name of Jesus Christ, deliverance, freedom & liberation, peace, joy, hope, gladness of heart, love, healing & wholeness, mercy & grace, blessings & favor, restoration of the years that the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25), the resurrection power of Jesus Christ, a mighty harvest, & a boldness to witness for Christ. Amen and Amen!!
ALWAYS REMEMBER, God hears ALL our cries and prayers (Ps. 34:4,6,15,17. His thoughts about us number more than the sands of the sea (Ps. 139:17,18), He loves us with an everlasting love (Jer. 31:3 & John 3:16). His promises are Yes & Amen (II Cor. 1:20). We know that satan’s a liar but God has never lied nor broken a promise or covenant (Heb. 6:18, Num. 23:19, Titus 1:2). He is the God of the second chance to infinity. Nothing is too hard (Jer. 32:17, Gen. 18:14), nor impossible for Him (Luke 1:37). With man it is impossible, but with God, ALL things are possible (Matt. 19:26, Mark 10:27). He is faithful (Ps. 89, Heb. 10:23), His Word does not return void (Is. 55:11,12), He magnifies His Word above His name (Ps. 138:2) & His Word is settled in Heaven forever (Ps. 119:89). We need to trust Him & His Word, no matter what trials or tribulations we are facing, whatever mountain, valley, desert, storm or goliath that is in our life. TRUST HIM! Naham 1:7 tells us, “God is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble & He knows those who trust Him.” He tells us we have worth & value in His eyes (Jer. 29:11-13), He is our helper (Heb. 13:6) who has compassion, mercy & grace for each of us. Gods’ forgiveness is bigger than my sin. If I confess my sins, God is faithful & just to forgive me of my sins & cleanse me of ALL unrighteousness (I John 1:9). Once I confess & repent, God remembers them no more (Ps. 103:12). They are put in the sea of forgetfulness (Micah 7:19). They are under the BLOOD of JESUS, and we are set FREE, with no condemnation (Rom. 8:1), especially from ourselves. We must learn to forgive ourselves. Praise and Worship must be included in our prayers. We have the VICTORY!

PRAYER OF SALVATION & BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for sending Your Son
Jesus Christ to die on the cross for my sins. I believe He died, was buried, and on the third day rose again from the dead. I do repent of my sins and come to You for mercy and forgiveness. I renounce Satan and the kingdom of darkness. I break every family curse over my family and me. By faith in Your promise, I receive Jesus Christ personally as my Savior and confess Him as my Lord. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, and give me eternal life and make me a child of God. Thank you, Lord, for accepting me and now, Lord Jesus, I am thirsty for more of You. I ask You, Lord Jesus, to baptize me in Your Holy Spirit . By faith I receive Your Holy Spirit now. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen. YAHUSHUA’S PROMISES TO YOU 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you PRAYER OF REPENTANCE |
Lord Jesus Christ, Yahushua, Son of the Father,
In all humility and with our love and holy fear, we bow down before You, our Savior. May our guardian angels bow before You and bring You the prayers of our heart day and night and may they protect us from all evils when we sleep and rest. Hear the prayers from our lips whether alone in our quiet places or among our Brethren; through tears of sorrow or songs of praise and joy.
Lord, may we never ask for more than what is good for our souls and for our salvation. You showed us the Father and taught us how to pray and live as children of God. You said we should seek, ask and knock when we’re in need. You said you would never leave us nor forsake us. Jesus, You alone made us worthy to enter into Heaven when our lives come to an end. We thank You and praise You for Your love, Your life, and the promises You made and kept.
You said You would go and prepare a place for us in Your kingdom.
In Your kingdom Lord, hear our prayers now. You see and hear Your poor banished children of Eve. Before You, our world is so dark.
We Your children, Your people, see and hear the evils of our modern world. Families and children faithful to You tremble in fear of Your coming justice. Lord, we know Your Holy Words and love them. We repent of all our sins and call out to You our God. As You took pity on Abraham, Moses, Noah, Ruth and Naomi, the children of Israel, and all Your beloved disciples, so too take pity on us in our trials and tribulations in our lives of this modern and depraved world we live in. You said You’d never leave us nor forsake us. But Your Holy Words warned us of sorrows, persecutions, and even wars. Lord, we are weeping for ourselves, our families, and our children. We weep and repent of our own sins that wound You once more. Send Your Holy Spirit upon us, so that we may live more simple lives and be ever faithful, brave, forgiving, and charitable children of God the Father. Help us to shake off the ways of the world and be only faithful to You.
When the world sees us, may they give all honor and praise to You. We are Your bride who await Your coming. May you find us worthy.
In Your name, Yahushua, we pray. Amen.

Put on the full armor of God! Stand against the devil! We are not fighting men, but evil forces of a dark age!” (Brutal Warfare, Mortification) The devil wants nothing more than for you to be deceived and live a life for your own pleasure. He spews out lies saying, “What’s a little harmless sex? Go ahead and steal that candy bar, no one is looking. You can lie to help get promoted, it’s completely ok.” My friends, Satan is evil and his hell is coming in the lake of fire! But until then, we have a fight on our hands!
Here are 7 powerful prayers you can pray to withstand Satan and stay strong in these hard times of spiritual warfare.
His End Is Near
Father,
I am excited for the day of Satan’s end! Lord, come swiftly and deliver us from his wicked schemes for good! Give me strength today, Father, to stay strong in the face of adversity. May all of my thoughts and actions reflect You today. I want nothing to do with Satan! Bind him from me! I love You, Lord! Amen
“And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever!” (Revelation 20:10)
This Is Tough
Oh Lord,
I know my weaknesses and so do the demons. Father, I am struggling big-time right now with pornography and I need You to carry me today. Please, Lord, stop all thoughts of sexual promiscuity from plaguing me. Please don’t allow Satan to tempt me in this today. I need Your strength! I need Your hands of might! There is a battle for my heart and soul in this area and I want You to be the victor in my heart! I love You, Lord! Amen
“Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul.” (1 Peter 2:11)
The War Is Won
All Powerful God,
I extol You in praise! I thank You for Your mighty arms of strength! I bless Your Name! I will proclaim to the masses that the war is over! You have won! You have defeated Satan with the cross! Hallelujah! His weak, pathetic existence will end in the lake of fire and I cannot wait until the end! Until that time I pray that you will give me strength to endure the trials and hardships ahead. Prepare my heart and soul for war today! I love You, Abba! Amen
“Blessed be the Lord, my Rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle!” (Psalm 144:1)
The Armor Of God
O Lord,
Every day is an unseen fight in the heart and soul of mankind. I pray that today You will be pleased with my actions. I will put on the belt of truth and not deceive those around me. I will put on the breastplate of righteousness and treat all I see with fairness and integrity. I will keep my shoes laced tight to deliver the good news, hoping that some will come to know You. I will keep the shield of faith before me to extinguish the temptations that come my way. I will wear the helmet of salvation and live joyfully knowing that I am not home yet! I will have the sword of the Spirit ready at all times to deliver deadly blows to those that will listen to Your Word and truth, that they may come to realize how much they need You! Father, I praise You and thank You for Your compassion on me! I love You! Amen
“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:11-12)
Forgive Me
Gracious Father,
Please forgive me for the iniquities that come from me heart. Lord, sin has its pleasures, but the pain after is far worse! Lord, I am sorry for allowing the temptations thrown at me to overtake me today. I have sinned against You and I am so sorry! I cannot understand the depth of Your love! You knew from the beginning that I would sin so much against You and yet You paid my price in advance. I am nothing. I am the worst of sinners. And yet, I am more than a conqueror through the cross! Lord, I have failed You today but I will walk forward with my head high knowing that this was only a battle. You have already won the war over my spirit and soul and I am Yours forever! I love You so much, Father! Thank you for the cross! Amen
“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us!” (Romans 8:37)
You Are Stronger
Dear Lord,
I know today has its trials and tribulations to throw at me, but You are stronger! The devil comes to devour and You already have the trap and snare ready! The devil comes to destroy, but his efforts are wasted. I have given my life to You! Jesus has saved me through the cross! There is nothing that can separate me from You, Lord! I thank You for Your faithfulness, Lord! Father, remind me today that You have got this under control! I love You! Amen
“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)
The Lost
O Lord,
My heart is grieving for those I love that are lost! Their souls are in the hands of the enemy and they don’t know it! What can I do? Father, please use me to shine the light of truth to them! Lord, I wish they could see what I see, to know what I know! Give me the words to speak to them! Lord, the pain that they will face if they die today is gut wrenching to me! Father, give me peace of mind to withstand this chaos and be Your servant to the lost. I love You! Amen
“And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Acts 2:21)
Conclusion
Friends, there is an ongoing war daily for the souls of men. Have you accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior? He is the only way to be victorious! I pray that God will give you strength daily as you face the trials and tribulations of this world. May God bless you as you continue to live a life worthy of the calling!

Quick Overview of Spiritual Warfare
There are many approaches to spiritual warfare which is why I like the above picture so much. You have the bad guy pacing around trying to intimidate his opponent; the good guy is at rest; and the young apprentice is anxiously watching. It’s so hard to find practical advice in the Christian community because of this diversity. I hope to lay out a quick backdrop and then give some practical spiritual warfare prayers to help Christians feel powerful when it comes to the battle.
It is important to know how the enemy likes to operate. Their primary form of operation is in the shadows. They reign from darkness for that is their kingdom. If the enemy can get you to not see them, then they can execute their plan unhindered. They win the battle because we don’t show up.
Second, if they are exposed, the enemy will threaten you. They hope to produce fear and/or anger in you. The enemy knows that if they can get your focus on either of these two things, you will lose hope and lose sight of Jesus. If the enemy can find success in this area, Christians will either run from the battle or run into it without the covering of God’s presence.
How Jesus Engaged Spiritual Warfare
Now there are other resources that can give you a deeper study into the work of the enemy, but this should give us a good start. The question I hope you are now asking is, “how do we engage in spiritual warfare?” For this answer I want to look at Jesus’ example.
First of all, it is important to realize that Jesus did not diagnose every problem as something to exorcise. The woman at the well had five husbands and the man she was currently with was not her husband (John 4:1-26). There was a good chance this woman had some demon problems. However, Jesus never address her in that way. In fact, He only exposed her shame; He never even asked her to repent or confess anything.
The woman who had the issue with bleeding for twelve years probably also had an issue with demons. Not only did she have a long medical problem, but she also had let the doctors of her day ‘practice’ on her to try to get her well. In this instance, Jesus didn’t do anything except walk by (Luke 8:40-47).
A lot of the times in which Jesus did come into more direct spiritual warfare, it was because the demons were initiating with Him. They would start screaming, “we know who you are!” These examples are important because spiritual warfare is real, but most of the times you will win the battle without confronting them directly. We need to be aware when we are to directly engage and when we are just simply to make no room for the enemy to stay.
10 Powerful Spiritual Warfare Prayers
With this overview of the battle in place, here are ten spiritual warfare prayers or declarations that will position you for breakthrough:
- I will not let my awareness of the problem exceed my awareness of God. God is always greater, therefore, I will worship Him in the midst of the battle. As I stay connected to God, I will overcome the enemy.
- Jesus went to the cross to publicly humiliate the enemy (Colossians 2:13-15). I have no doubt that He would not now also come and remove the enemy that is before me.
- Jesus sent me out to drive out demons and advance His kingdom (Mark 3:14-15). He also commands me to love others (John 13:34-35). He will give me a plan of attack that removes the enemy and respects the person.
- Jesus has already won the battle. He laughs at the plans of the enemy (Psalm 2:4). If spiritual warfare is hard, I haven’t received God’s complete plan of attack.
- We overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21), therefore I will focus my attention on the goodness of God in response to the evil in front of me. It is this goodness that I will declare and make known.
- For though I live in the world, I do not wage war as the world does. The weapons I fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. I demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and I take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. – 2 Corinthians 10:3-5
- My struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). I will stand my ground with truth, righteousness, and peace, and I will defend the enemies attacks with my faith. I will advance against the enemy by speaking out the word of God applied to every situation (Ephesians 6:14-17).
- Holding firm to the truth will bring freedom (John 8:31-32). When the enemy speaks his lies to me or others, I will declare God’s goodness and my steadfast belief that He is for us (Romans 8:31).
- I have been given authority in Christ, therefore when confronting the enemy, they will recognize it and have to respond accordingly. I will first quiet the enemy, then determine whether the person who is effected wants to be free.
- No matter what power the enemy manifests, God is greater still. When I tell the enemy to leave, I can command them to come out without manifestation. The person does not need to be embarrassed or felt like a victim. The person is powerful and has control of him/herself.
I hope you find this list helpful to you as you approach praying spiritual warfare. Each time it will be different and you will need to have your faith and trust in God, but these prayers will refocus you on a battle plan for success. Even Jesus had demons not obey him at first (Luke 8:28-31). Don’t be discouraged. Hold your ground and trust breakthrough is coming.
