As we commence this new work week, let us kick it off with a talk with our Heavenly Father. Let us spend some time in prayer, devotion and praise. The past week is behind us, and new beginnings are ahead..
Heavenly Father, I come before You Oh Lord, my God, thanking You for waking me up this Monday morning to embrace the sunlight that shoots down from the heavens.
Thank You for giving me the health and strength I need to overcome every stronghold in my life. And thank You for loving me unconditionally in the times where I may fail You.
Psalm 90:14 Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
Psalm 5:3 O Lord, in the morning you hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for you and watch.
Cover me and cleanse me
Father, I request that Your Holy Presence draws near to me. Wrap me in Your loving arms and never let me go. Cover me under the precious blood of the lamb.
Cleanse me of anything that is displeasing to You. Renew my mind, my body and my soul, as I worship You and You alone.
Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
Proverbs 8:17 I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me.
Overcoming the storms
When the storms arise, bestow Your tranquility and peace upon me so that I may not be moved. Work from within me, Lord to bring a revival into my Life.
When I feel broken Lord, transform my spirit so I can emerge whole again. And, as I pray Lord, use me daily as Your vessel.
Give me strength for the week ahead
Walk beside me as I endure the challenges of today. Give me the strength I need to challenge the week ahead.
Send Your angels to guard over me as You lead me into my divine purpose. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray, Amen!
Isaiah 26:9 My soul yearns for you in the night; my spirit within me earnestly seeks you. For when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.
Psalm 104:30 When you send forth your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the ground.

Happy Monday! As we begin a new work-week, let us set the tone for the week with this Monday morning prayer to our Heavenly Father.
“Commit your works to the LORD And your plans will be established.” – Proverbs 16:3
May this Monday morning prayer wash away everything that has happened in the past week(s) and prepare ourselves for new beginnings as we invite God into our hearts and minds for the day to come.
He has the power to make this the best week ever!
Please join me in this Monday Morning Prayer :
I come before you this morning, first thanking you for allowing me to wake up.
Thank you for allowing me to open my eyes, move my limbs, and for other parts of my body that are healthy and functioning.
Thank you for allowing my friends, family, and other loved ones to arise as well. For those whose last day on earth was yesterday, I pray that you comfort their family members and friends with the sweet peace of your presence as they grieve the loss of their loved one(s).
As I arise to begin this work-day, I invite you, God, to fill my spirit with your presence. May your divine wisdom guide me through the day. Take away any forms of fear and anxiety because those feelings are not of you, God. I ask that you give me power, wisdom, and grace throughout this day in your name, Jesus.
Give my mind the ability to function efficiently while doing my work tasks.
Give me the grace to deal with difficult co-workers and clients. Rather than be annoyed at them, help me pray for those who, in the past, have caused me distress on my job. Lord, help me be a vessel to carry your love and grace so that they see you in me.
Help me be a light to shine your glory through my work place.
Help me speak works that are clear, helpful, and purposeful. When I am unsure about what do to, may you guide me to make the right decisions. When I feel scared or tired, may you bless me with divine courage and energy. May your Holy Spirit rebuke every evil intent that is set to approach me today.
Bless my co-workers and I with your traveling mercies.
Bless our children as we drop them off at day-care, school, etc. Cover them and protect them from harm and return them safely to us.
Bless their teachers and other staff members at their schools as they are protectors of our children when we cannot be there.
Show me your purpose for me today, God, and I will do it. I will obey your instruction—even if it is scary or difficult. I want to please you and carry forth your will. Give me the courage to do so. Everything I do is for you, God. I am your vessel. Guide me and help me make this day for your glory! In doing so, may you boldly break chains of mediocrity, fear, laziness, helplessness and confusion.
May this day be more purposeful and powerful than any other, My heart is open, and I accept your call.
In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Poor is he who works with a negligent hand, But the hand of the diligent makes rich. – Proverbs 10:4

A Prayer for Monday Morning
By Amy Green
“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” (Isaiah 40:28-29)
It’s another Monday.
By now, you’ve successfully pried open your eyes (no matter how many times you hit “snooze”), and even that probably feels like an accomplishment. If you’re like me, the first whispers of coherent thought in your waking mind weren’t that great. Worry about your job. Dread of the unending loop of weekly tasks. Frustration with a family member. Or just plain weariness.
On some Mondays, it can be hard to believe that you matter, that God is listening, and that it was really worth getting out of bed.
It’s time to replace those lies with the truth—truth about who God is, who you are, and what you’re doing here on this earth. These verses aren’t some kind of cosmic pep talk… they’re reminders from a God who loves you that he made you for a purpose. That means no day is wasted, not even a terrible Monday.
“Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”(1 Corinthians 15:58)
Promise: Even when we don’t see the results of what we’re doing, God is always at work. He can give us the strength for the mundane tasks of life.
Remember that this day is a gift from God.
This week, don’t look first at your crowded calendar or messy house or burdens or the list of ways you’ve failed and fallen. Look first at Jesus and at his Word.
Read these verses, and read all of Romans 8. It’s the summary of everything God has promised to believers. It reminds us that it’s okay to grieve the brokenness of the world, reassures us that the Spirit prays for us when we don’t even know what to ask, and restores the hope we have as victorious and beloved children of God.
And that’s the truth that makes it worth getting up in the morning, no matter what day it is.
Please pray with me:
God, I want to believe that you’re with me and that I am known and loved by you… but some days, it’s hard. Help me to speak the truth from your Word back to myself. Take it from my head to my heart. Give me peace and wisdom courage to live like a conqueror—because you’ve already given me victory over every challenge and obstacle. Amen.

This is a great covering morning prayer for you that you can pray every morning before you start your day.
Almighty God, as I cross the threshold of this day I commit myself, soul, body, affairs, friends, to Thy care. Watch over, keep, guide, direct, sanctify, bless me. Incline my heart to thy ways. Mold me wholly into the image of Jesus, as a potter forms clay. May my lips be a well-tuned harp to sound Thy praise. Let those around see me living by Thy Spirit, trampling the world underfoot, unconformed to lying vanities, transformed by a renewed mind, clad in the entire armor of God, shining as a never-dimmed light, showing holiness in all my doings. Let no evil this day soil my thoughts, words, hands. May I travel miry paths with a life pure from spot or stain. In needful transactions let my affection be in heaven, and my love soar upwards in flames of fire, my gaze fixed on unseen things, my eyes open to the emptiness, fragility, mockery of earth and its vanities. May I view all things in the mirror of eternity, waiting for the coming of my Lord, listening for the last trumpet call, hastening unto the new heaven and earth. Order this day all my communications according to Thy wisdom, and to the gain of mutual good. Forbid that I should not be profited or made profitable. May I speak each word as if my last word, and walk each step as my final one. If my life should end today, let this be my best day. In Jesus Name, Amen
