End of semester prayer

The end of the year (or semester) can be a challenging and stressful time for all ages of students. The pressure mounts, exams approach, the schedules fill up, and the to-do lists are never-ending. It can seem daunting and overwhelming, or even impossible to get through. Testing season causes anxiety and students begin to place their value on an exam grade. The truth is, though, God is always with us, always fighting for us, and is always faithful to us. In our success and our struggles at school, the Lord never fails us and never gives up on us. He is worthy of our trust and our praise!

We hope that these prayers and passages of Scripture are an encouragement to all students who are taking exams in the home stretch of their school year or semester.

Semester Courses

IHOPU Online Semester Courses mirror courses taught on-campus at IHOPU. The Freshman First Semester comprises five credit courses taught in both the summer and the fall. Four of the courses are taken one at a time, each lasting four weeks, with the fifth course—the practicum—running throughout the semester.

The Freshman First Semester of IHOPU Online parallels the Forerunner School of Ministry (FSM) and Forerunner Music Academy (FMA). Online students wishing to continue with the second semester of FMA must transfer on-campus. (Please note: due to visa restrictions, international FMA students may only transfer on-campus for the second semester in the spring).

IHOPU Online students may continue with the second semester of FSM online and the theology courses of FMA. The Freshman Second Semester comprises five credit courses taken in the spring.

IHOPU Online students may currently complete up to one year online, and must then transfer to the IHOPU on-campus course of study to continue their schooling. We hope to be able to offer a second year of FSM via IHOPU Online in the future.

If you wish to take Semester Courses for credit, please fill out the online application. The IHOPU Online administrative team reviews applications and schedules a brief interview by phone or Skype with each applicant. When accepted, IHOPU Online students are enrolled in courses and make payment before starting classes.

Fall 2018 Registration Open

First Semester

All IHOPU Online students take the same first-semester courses, called the Forerunner Curriculum, which provides students with an overview of the core values and theology necessary to sustain a lifestyle of intimacy with Jesus, as we prepare for His return. These courses last for one month. Completion of these courses may act as an exemption to the first semester of study at IHOPU in Kansas City. Our goal is to engage the mind with biblical understanding that will produce transformation in the heart.

Spring 2019

Second Semester

The IHOPU Online second semester includes each of the five courses required during the second semester at IHOPU. Students seeking to get started in Spring 2018 will begin by taking their second semester courses first and their first semester courses next—either over the Summer or in the Fall.

The online program may act as an exemption to the second semester of study at IHOPU in Kansas City.

The end of the semester is hard. Not only are we tired of school, but we’re worn out, discouraged, and have little sight of the light at the end of the tunnel. For those days when you think the end of the semester will never come, you’ll shrivel up in your seat before you ever see the sun again, and you realize it’s another semester done until you have to figure out what to do with the rest of your life, check out these verses. Let them bring refreshment, joy, and hope, and remember — only a few more weeks!

1. John 14:27.

“Peace I leave you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

2. Proverbs 16:3.

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.”

3. Psalm 94:19.

“When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.”

4. Matthew 11:28-30.

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

5. 2 Corinthians 4:7-9.

“But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.”

6. Psalm 119:143.

“Trouble and distress have come upon me, but your commands give me delight.”

7. Psalm 55:22.

“Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.”

8. Psalm 142:3.

“When spirits grow faint within me, it is you who knows my way.”

9. 1 Peter 5:6-7.

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”

10. Joshua 1:9.

“…Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

11. Isaiah 40:30-31.

“Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; 31 but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

Alhamdulillah, masih diberi kesihatan dan umur yang panjang untuk menikmati kehidupan yang sementara ini. Hari ni hari terakhir dalam semester ni sebelum bercuti selama 2 minggu. And after holidays, I have got one more semester before graduating! Alhamdulillah..

So, minggu ni sangat leisure sebab final mark and assessment for current rotation has been done last week since my supervisor is away this week to work in the country. And sgt excited nak balik Msia to meet my lovely hubby.  Miss him so much.. Ticket sume da ready, I’ll be flying back on Sunday. Tak sabar rasanya nak bermanja2 dgn hubby yg dirindui.. Hehe..

Last Wednesday, I cooked 2 pizzas. Tetibe rajin nak buat sebab teringin nak makan. One with chicken and mushroom as the topping, and I put marinara mix for the other one. The taste is good (I think! Haha). Kalau kat Msia, xdenya rajin nak buat2 uli pizza sendiri, semua beli jea kalau teringin. Bagus jugak duduk oversea ni, byk la sikit belajar masak, kalau malas pon akan jadi rajin masak sebab terpaksa buat sendiri kalau teringin ape2. Firstly sebab makan luar mahal kalau kat sini, duit scholarship alhamdulillah cukup2 je menampung perbelanjaan, tapi xde la nak bermewah2.. Secondly sebab xdela byk sgt kedai makan yang halal and open 24 hours kat sini. Kalau kat msia, mamak kompen bukak memanjang. Raya2 pon diorg xtutup, dedicated betol diorg ni, sebab tula kedai mamak ni maju dan ramai pelanggan.

So, nak tunjuk sikit gambar pizza yang dibuat aritu bagi terliur sikit. Hehe.. Dah siap2 potong dah pizza ni, senang utk dimakan. Maaflah kualiti gambar xbest sgt. Almaklumlah, camera handset jea. Xkaye sgt nak beli DSLR.. 😛

Fresh from oven.. Ready for dinner..

Nak buat pizza ni bukan susah rupanya. Bahan2 yang digunakan pon murah, sgt affordable la. Just terfikir, betapa untungmya Pizza Hut, Dominos etc.. sebab charge mahal2 utk pizza. Kalau buat sendiri, satu pizza tu tak sampai 5 dollar pon!

Ok, disebabkan dah tunjuk gambar pizza, kenala share recipe dia plak. Mudah jea..

Tepung pizza

2 cwn tepung gandum

2 sudu teh yis segera

1/2 sudu teh garam

1 sudu teh gula

2 sudu besar minyak sayur – saya guna olive oil

1/2 – 1 cwn air suam (utk menguli)

Sos pizza

1 bwg besar

2 bwg kecil

2 biji tomato (cincang)

2 sudu besar minyak masak

3 sudu besar tomato puri (saya xde tomato puri, so letak 5 sudu besar sos tomato)

2 sb sos tomato

3/4 sudu teh gula

1 sudu teh oregano (boleh la tambah herbs yg lain kalau suka. Sy tambah bolognese herbs jugak)

Tumis semua bahan sos sampai mendidih dan pekat.

Ape2 je boleh. Suka hati.

Mozarellah cheese (shredded)

1. Masukkan semua bahan kecuali air dalam bekas. Masukkan air suam sikit2 sambil menguli. Agak2 doh jadi lembut tak melekat, boleh la stop masukkan air.

2. Perap selama 1 jam dalam bekas yang ditutup dengan cling wrap. Biarkan doh naik dua kali ganda.

3. Lepas tu boleh la uli dan ratakan lebih kurang 5 mm.

4. Ratakan sos pizza atas adunan tadi.

5. Taburkan cheese sikit.

6. Letakkan ape2 topping yang disukai.

7. Letak cheese yang selebihnya.

8. Bakar pizza pada suhu 200 degree celcius selama 25-30 minutes

Ok. selamat mencuba ye. Nanti nak buat pizza ni bila balik Msia, nak bagi hubby rasa plak. Hopefully hubby suka nanti. 🙂

Lepas ni nak kena belajar lagi macam2 masakan so that nanti encik suami xdela bosan saya asyik masak menda yang sama jea..
